A great place with an honesty library, the food is simply delicious and the vibe is vibrant. I tasted Australian cuisine for the first time in my life there and I loved it. A must visit for those who love good food and a chilled out ambiance.

Amidst the Shopping area of the Safdarjung DDA market is the mid budget restaurant of Qahwa. It serves great bread and sandwiches for breakfast and cool sizzlers for supper. Their chicken and corn brioche is a large loaf of salted bread stuffed with diced chicken, corn and cheese. Their classic ham and cheese sandwich is a four pieces of triangle shaped chicken stuffed portions. Their fresh soup and gur lemon soda are classic. The restaurant is simple and sleek in design. The counter up front is a modest in display. The owner has exhibited her medals in sports in one corner of the place. Their furniture boasts of wood and jute. The lighting fixtures are formed from baskets of thatch like material. The large restaurant can seat about 80 people at a time indoors as well as in the balcony. But he café does not encourage people to sit for hours working on laptops and writing journals. Such customers are strictly instructed to keep munching or sipping on something, or pay Rs 250 per hour for occupying a table. Instruction stickers are glued onto every table for explicit directions to all those who think of the café as a freebie workplace. The café opens prompt morning at 7am for all the early bird breakfast munchers.

This is a quaint little place in front of the IIT in the SDA market. We ordered a few things in breakfast and they came out nice. I've had better breakfasts but still nothing to complain. Moreover it opens super early so we reached around 7:30 and it felt so nice to be only one of the few people in the restaurant. The ambience is very simple and you have to pay nominal table charges if you just need to go work there and don't want to order which is a nice concept. Overall liked the place.

Good food and drinks, great ambience, should definitely visit once, I'll recommend for sure. It's a small cozy space with indoor and outdoor sitting arrangements. The staff is friendly, affordable place.

Hidden around the corner from a more traditionally corporate coffee place, qahwa offers a charming atmosphere, espresso drinks, and great breakfast fare. A bit hard to find, but worth it.

Located on the first floor right opposite the IIT main road, this cafe is more than just a cafe for me. It is like a second home, where I have spent countless hours reading books, studying, meeting up with friends, watch matches, or just spend some alone time. This is what a cafe actually means to me, and no wonder this is one of my favourites. It is not difficult to spot, however the way to the top is through a narrow stairway on the right side (if viewing from the main road). They have a huge menu, and an amazing yet different variety of drinks. The number of hot as well as cold coffee offerings are huge, and probably the most in any cafe in Delhi that I have seen. Some of my favourites are White Chocolate Cappuccino, Black Forest Coffee, Chai Latte (their Chai Latte is actually a coffee with Indian spices), Spiced Milk (a must have for winters), Apple Cinnamon Latte to name a few. Coming to food items, their freshly baked Waffles, Brownies, Cheesecake (there on some days), Grilled Sandwiches are some of my favourites. Their staff is also extremely friendly and happily note any customisation required for your food or beverages. They also have games like Chess to play and keep yourself occupied. Moreover, their price is also less than all the other famed coffee joints like Costa Coffee and Barista in this market. All in all, this is one place I will probably keep going for the rest of my life for the atmosphere and wonderful experience I have always had at this place.
