Went there after having a stop from a long trip to Meghalaya. The Dhaba is good and clean, service is also good. Ordered momo and soup, it was delicious.
Great place located in the midst of Guwahati & Shillong (Nongpoh). Best place to halt during drives or bike rides.
This place even has a bakery named Bread Crumbs. There are a few local shops within the compound where you can also buy local delicacies like pickles etc.
Love this place.Make sure to bring umbrellas. Good place to stop and have a cup of tea. Good for lunch as well. Enjoy the rain outside as its mostly raining there. Have a happy journey.
One of the oldest eateries on the Shillong -Guwahati highway , with some very fresh ingredients in the food. Cuisines are basic Indian and Chinese. Both veg and non veg are served though we spotted only chicken options. It's wholesome food with a clean and sunlit seating area. Waiters are attentive and very helpful. There is ample parking and a bunch of small shops selling coffee , chips, mint etc and a very good bakery next door. The restrooms are simple but clean. You will also find local ladies sitting out in the sun with makeshift tables selling the local pickles ( bhoot jholakia, shrimp , anchovies , Amla , mango , bamboo shoot ) which are just delicious and very cheap as well. Would definitely recommend this as a lunch stop for those travelling between the two cities.
If you're a pure vegetarian , try zen cafe, a little down the road from woodlands ) for some charcoal cooked pure Marwari food !
Excellent halt midway between Guwahati and Shillong. Food is hot, fresh and delicious and light on the pocket. Staff is courteous and helpful. Ample place to sit. Wide parking area. Toilets need to be much cleaner though.
Excellent place, food is fine, spacious dining area, not much loud, though being near the highway. Only thing is, you need to go by it a long way before turning back again to reach it due to the road divider there.
Nice restaurant by the Highway. The staff is very nice. It's a good pit-stop for travelers in the Shillong Guwahati route. Usually it's less crowded during the weekdays, but in the weekend you will find many groups, specially bikers in the café. The prices are not very expensive as compared to other places.
Not satisfied. The staffs behaviour was not very good. The highway dhabas are supposed to serve very quick. But they took a long time to serve the order and after a long wait got something else from what I ordered. I would recommend not to stop there in highway if you are in hurry.
This is located in Nongpoh ,about half the way to Shillong from Guwahati. This place has been around for a very long time and by far the best eating place on this route. The service is quick .Basic standards of hygeine can be expected. The food is fresh, especially some things like mutton curry and chicken curry are really delicious . Very recommended.
Great food . Try their hard coffee.
