Great place to try local food in Palolem. We actually came here twice during our trip because we enjoyed it so much. The staff are very attentive and friendly, the atmosphere is comfortable and the food is delicious! Recommend the Goan fish thali and the fish ambotik curry. The coconut cooler drink was also amazing after a day in the sun. Highly recommend:)
So cheerful and welcoming staffs, relaxing atmosphere - with low soothing music. Very clean as well. Prawn tali and shrimp salad were delicious.

Little overpriced but as compared to other hotels best taste and price.
It's definitely worth visiting Sumaya! Food was delicious, Prawns Rawa Fry best we've ever eaten and pork dishes were also superb. Add to this very tasty gin and tonic plus chilled and cosy atmosphere, and you have perfect evening. Also, prices are very incentive, just keep in mind, you can't pay with a card.
We certainly recommend this place!
P.S. there are 3 friendly cats there meowing to the guests 😊
Ordered Fish Thali & Sumaya Fish Thali. The taste is great. Portion is less compared to the price but cant blame the price as the shop is in Palolem. Probably can work on the portion Team Sumaya.

We choose to eat here everyday because food is very tasty, the prices are quite low, the location is convenient and the 2 guys that run now the restaurant are super friendly.
The prices here are almost half than the seashore restaurants ones.
We are a family with 2 small kids and we can find meals for them too.
The restaurant is spacious, nicely decorated with many plants, good music and great atmosphere. Not crowded, not noisy.
They have an outside tandoori where my daughter is always excited to watch how they prepare roti.
Bike rental service available too.
This place is more than a restaurant, is an experience. I highly recommend it. 💜
I would highly recommend this restaurant. This is affordable, the food is tasty and the behaviour of the staff is excellent. I had a Sumaya Special Thali, and it was worth the money.
Had this Sea Food Goan thali for the first time here. Experience was good. I felt that the roti didn't pair up with the gravy. Maybe that's the Goan way of eating or may be I'm not used to this pairing.
Overall I would rate 4 / 5 for the food

Cabbage sabzi made with coconut since u are in Goa the fat from coconut cutting the spicy ness
Chicken Rawa fry Goan style of u cant eat seafood this is amazing option for u
With crisp of rawa masala and tender flat chicken
Tasted soo nice like fish fry.

Nice sweet taste from onions in a thick gravy with ginger garlic flavour
Soft pieces of chicken didn’t seem like Goan food but every cook/chef need to add their touch.
Dal was also different I can say a Goan style

Which was just 0.5 mm thick soft however edges don't go crisp this way

Softest pork boneless which they do
Tangy flavour of coconut Vinegar
Not that spicy balanced meal just like way I make things with different flavours all submerged to make one dish
Mango season they did not forget to add mangoes unripe

Nice food and ambience. We tried veg Goan thali and it was delicious. Service is good and the folks here do explain things with some zeal. Overall can be a place to dine in if you need authentic original food.
