I've stayed in Palolem for two weeks and visited many restaurants before I discovered The Bombay Duck and my experiences with the food and the people let me return many times. The owners are super friendly, professional and try to serve your needs as good as possible and with a honest smile. They're prepared to cook individual dishes and have some great home made recipes on the menu. Being the only uplifted elevated restaurant in Palolem, this makes for a good spot for a great view over the market street area. Together with the very nice music played, you'll most probably will have an enjoyable time in this cosy restaurant. Also very suitable for vegetarian or vegan diets. Highly recommended.
The Bombay Duck is around the T-junction in the first floor so you have fresh air and a nice street view at some places.
The owner Sohan is a very helpful chap assisting with your selection of the big menue or even with things out of his business.
Your beer is served in a cold glass, cocktails are old-fashioned made in the nice way that as an example, they make the Mojito with Tonic & brown sugar instead of this nasty Sprite.
The food is great: I love the kingfish or chicken steak, but others said the vegetable dishes are great, too.
