Potbhar nonveg is our regular family lunch place since a decade. Its indeed potbhar and complete value for money. Especially the sea food here is great in taste and quantity both. We order 1 chicken special thali which is a combination of egg masala , chicken masala, plain rassa, 3chapati that are served hot with ghee and loaded chicken biryani portion ( along with pieces) . Dahi kanda thats served by them and solkadhi is always fresh. 1 plate of fish fry consists of 2 small whole pieces of pomphret. Bombil rawa fry and prawns tawa fry is also a must try here.The preparations are great on taste and not too spicy which is the best part about the restaurant. Its total value for money place

All of the above in less than 1000 rs. ! The place is however little small , not recommended for big parties. However takeaway is also a great option for such great in taste food.
Potbhar biryani house is the best place I know which serves best biryanis in pune. Try their biryani or mutton thali😍

The place is very good. I think the restaurant is very much under rated looking at the crowd in it. Tambda rassa is the best ,I have ever tasted in my life. Biryani is also nice. One star less just for the quantity which is served as it seems to be a little lesser . Chicken is good but I am not sure about mutton as I am a chicken lover person.
Quality + Quantity + Rate = Perfect Satisfaction.

Potbhar Wow! Actually it feels the same way as the name given! Heaven! The Mutton Biryani is best if you really love spicy. There are other hotels in this area however Potbhar has something special which attracts customers as well as foody People. 1 Star less because they don't have enough space cater large number of people's, however they have taken a new shop for the same but if the popularity increases its not sufficient. The place is really good, awesome and friendly staff. Fast Service. No Card Payment Accepted. Yet I would suggest every non vegetarian person to visit this atleast once in life and have any of their Biryani's.

Chicken dum biryani was fantastic, proper amount of flavoured rice, spices and chicken in it. You should also try chicken special thali which is also very good.

Not far off from Rajaram bridge, that connects Karvenagar to Sinhagad Road, is a small joint called Potbhar. Stuck between PK Biryani and Aamchi Hotel, well literally and figuratively, Potbhar has its own set of loyal customers. Very recently they celebrated their 3rd anniversary.
Often people have their drinks in Aamchi and dine in Potbhar thanks to its affordable pricing strategy. They have a really good Bombil Fry which can give a a tough time to well known fish joints. I've also had their Sol Kadi which isnt too bad either.
Truth be told there's no ambience. So dont come expecting that. Service is with a smile and quick too. Go there to have some delicious, home-made Maharashtrian fare. You'll not be disappointed.
