Go to places for tasty north indian dishes, the kadhai paneer in particular. But not so much of a place for starters like afgani chaap.

Decent place to have a short meeting..
.
The Corn Cheese Mayo Sandwich and Veg Pulao,
Both tasted quite good..
The Dry Fruit Mastani and Potato Twisters,
Will enlighten your mood..
.
What we had:
Corn Cheese Mayo Sandwich: 5/5
Veg Pulao: 3.5/5
Dry Fruit Mastani: 3.5/5
Potato Twisters: 4/5
Bajra sandwich - unique dish, I liked the most. Bhatti pav bhaji was average. Ambience was very nice. Decent Bollywood music was played. Service was little bit slow. Overall good experience.

Food quality was not disappointing. Although the butter rotis were without butter or with very less amount of butter. Green peas pulav would have tasted better with some more spice to it. Paneer handi was tasty.
W have ordered Paneer Tikka Nanja...it was just worth it...full of cheese.. seems like kind of some pizza ..It's a good place for lunch... ambience is good... service is good..value for money...
Very good place for eating, you can eat khada pav bhaji and also you can eat Thali. Restaurant's famous dish is Bhatti pav bhaji. You can also eat chat and starters.
Talking about this place, the food is Ambrosia we had Tawa pulav and cheese paneer paratha and both were out of the world. Service is great ambience of course nice. Overall this place is must visit places in pune for foodies

Situated in one of the prominent locations of the city(atleast according to me), SWAD DESI kind of stays true to its title, by adding a desi twist to many of its items. Its the only place I have personally tried on the Jungli Maharaj road, and it hasn't failed to delight me 4 times now. Simplistic ambience, friendly staff, extensive menu to choose from, affordable rates and they accept magic pin vouchers are the major reasons why you'll find me dining/snacking here more often then never.
The ambiance is sweet and simple, especially the bright red and yellow metal chairs, compliment the timber furniture well.
Like I said, the menu offers you a very vast variety of dishes right from the street food chaat and sandwiches(which are a speciality here) to yummy, lip-smacking north indian delicacies. They recently started the non-alcoholic beers which is something that has been gaining pace in the market. One thing that really amused me is their veg anda curry, where they shape the paneer to look like an egg! Thats the height of being a vegetarian, desperate enough to try a veg dish looking like a non-veg one!
P.S- If you ask my opinion, egg are still vegetarian commodities!
Coming to the food, their sandwiches are quite famous. I have tried quite a few of them myself, and there were resonably good.
Upon my recent visit, I hogged upon MALAI KOFTA and KAJU MASALA. The prior one, which is one of my favourites sabjis to order, was not up to my liking. It wasn't bad, thats for sure, but neither I nor my friends enjoyed it, as we expected something better knowing Swad Desi's standards. My call would be that the kofta's were quite big, which is good, but there wasn't enough gravy with it, rendering the dish, dry.
Kaju masala, on the other hand, was somewhat of a spicy affair. There were so many roasted cashews which made the sabji really crunchy! Spicy, but tasty as well.
To conclude, Swad Desi is a really good place. The fact that I have been here 4 times ( keeping aside the fact that my friends like this place, and the magicpin thing ), is proof enough that this might be one of your favourite places as well. I know that they still have lots of yummy dishes under their sleeve, which I will discover soon enough...
Happy Burping!!!
Your cooking is absolutely delicious! You have a real talent for creating amazing flavors and textures. I always look forward to enjoying your meals." I can provide you with
Nice place to have some good dinner and spend some quality time with friends. The taste is amezing and good quality food nicely decorated, the prices are little high but worth it, The place is famous for it's starters so give them a try. Service is good not fast though, good ambiance with modern look. If you are in the city and looking for good place and something new this is the place to go.
Pav Bhaji was okay but they have to seriously fix up the temporary ceiling on the inside which is merely a plastic cover.. Can't get a nice experience if you are having food there in the afternoon and sun is staring down at you…
