The museum located in jubilee garden. There is a lot of things regarding sourasthra but lack of information is noted . The all notes are written in English and gujrati language only.
The Watson Museum, considered to be one of the best among the seven such museums located across Saurashtra (region) and managed by the Gujarat state Government, it has collections of precious objects from the princely State of Rajkot founded by the Jadeja Rajputs. It holds invaluable articles, artifacts, photographs, a reference library and the museum's publication are sold through a counter.
It's a collection on documentary prototype of mahatma Gandhi life journeys wh8ch are well explained and described. Museums has 40 camp which one of them having unique information. Each camp having separate guide for giving information and guiding. Entry fees for museum is 25₹. There is also free bag storage counter. Staff is good and they treatment is good. Nearest bus station, Railway station or airport is Rajkot. Local transports are there to achieve your locations. No OLA or Uber is available. Shortly is nice place
Super collections of sculptures and artifacts from Zonzuvada fort, Surendrnagar. The Roman sculptures, wooden art, traditional dresses, Historical paintings, photos of Kings, flags and Symbols of Saurashtra regions, etc. Local birds and animals with local musical instruments also here.
Loved this museum! There was tons of historical knowledge and information. Plenty to show for the history of India and the influences of the British empire. The staff were not the most helpful however the exhibits more than make up for that.
Nice place to visit in Rajkot city centre . It is nearby to Gandhi Museum as well Trikon Baug. A library is just it's opposite side by a trust.
There's park to walk n sit on in and around the Museum.
This museum has a great collection of different artifacts. A lot of the collection is 12th century. It is very clean and well kept. Though the upkeep is missing. There are stairs to climb but no disabled or wheelchair access. Overall it's worth a visit.
Museum is all about gandhi ji's life journey.. well maintained!!! And very easy to find !!!
Well maintained artifacts, sculptures from history. The museum itself was established in 1988. It is located inside Jubilee Garden. I am sure kids will also enjoy the collection. It may take 30 mins to 2-3 hours based on your interest.
Entry ticket is Rs. 5 per person and you need to pay 100 if you want to take photographs inside.
There is a small garden and children's play area near around the museum.
Museum is kept well but the surrounding areas should be more clean and appealing
