What I like the most about them is that the owner herself sits in kitchen and check everything everytime. Also after eating one doesn't feel any heaviness or something like that.

The restaurant's food at such price deserves 5 star, but I'll give 4 star because of the ambience. Chicken with rice was great. The restaurant is famous for Mutton with rice. My friend ate 'Aloo Jhinga Posto' and 'Sarso Rehu Fish' and she loved it. The pricing is so reasonable. Chicken with rice costed me only 90 Rupees and the quantity was great.
This is very old and famous restaurant in ranchi. Situated on the main road , besides Bank of baroda, near Manyavar showroom. Situated in the second floor of an old building, the entrance is from the back side of the building, not from the front. This restaurant is run by bengali people, Sitting area is small, around 50 people can be seated at a time, on sunday and holidays there will be long queue to enter this eatery. They serve only few items and those items taste like homemade food, nothing like restaurant food. When we visited there the available items were mutton curry, rice, dal, dhoka, alu vindi sabji, salad. Fish & chicken were not available. People mainly comes here to eat mutton chawal so we ordered the same with dhoka and cold drinks. The mutton curry contains 4 big & soft mutton pieces and a potato, the gravy tasted very nice. very pocket friendly, overall very satisfied with the homely food we had at the India hotel..

Food is very good. Quantity is also sufficient and worth it for the price. The environment is not up to the mark. Need some renovation. Bit old age type. But must try for everyone to visit the city. The special item is mutton, One can have it with Rice or with Rice thali.

The entrance is not from the street side, but behind from back alley, so ask locals if you are unable to find it.
Food is delicious. Mutton plate full is so testy and reasonable price. Fish is also testy. Service is very good and helpful. I take my Lunch here today & enjoy my it. The owner is also very gentleman and with a smile. The hotel is very old one probably 1965. The first floor is renovated for dormetory accomodation.

The food was very delicious, especially mutton curry and Alu Posto. It is really enjoying to get authentic bengali food in outside Bengal. But the quantity of vegetable and dal they serve is more than enough to eat for one person. They should think to serve half portion of food for one person.
Best Mutton, chicken, fish and chingari jhol at affordable prices. Mutton 4 pcs @ 150, chicken 110. Chingri/prawn large 4 pcs @ 160.

This is a paradise for Bengalis who want authentic bengali food at the most affordable rates. Fishes, mutton curry, all bhaja, chingri...are super...and at the lowest prices...A must for any food lover. I am highly impressed π
The entry gate is too mistirious... Unknown person will be filled like red light area.. but this is fully family restaurant. Inside, environment is very quite and silent. Everytime the hotel is full from fooder.
