I visited Cafe Shillong (the Restaurant). The ambiance is good, lot of interesting things decorate the walls. I had hot chocolate, it was good. Also had Chicken Sandwich (nice). The chicken burger and beef burger were average. Would recommend this place for ambiance and if you want to try food
One of the oldest cafe in Shillong. This restaurant has maintained its standard through the years. The menu is not exhaustive but it covers both local as well as south Asian flavors. They also serve burgers, pizza,pasta and few continental dishes. Food is delicious. This place never disappoints.
Lovely meal served with a smile by very friendly all-woman staff. Really enjoyed beef thukpa and pork with lakadong turmeric rice. Drinks were delicious too, especially the hot dark chocolate and ginger lemon tea.

The vibe the decor was very nice. I had coffee there itself and had the food packed to have at our Homestay. Below are the items we had and the ratings :
Double Shot Espresso: 15/10. One of the best Espresso I ever had.
BBQ Pork Ribs : 9.8/10. Portion size was around 300grams. Sauce was very good. Perfectly cooked. Meat to Fat proportion was perfect for me (70:30). Saute veges were very crunchy and fresh and flavourful. Mashed potato was not up to the mark.
Shillong Beef Steak style with Herb Rice : Perfectly well done Steak of around 250-300gms. The sauce was very good too. The sad part is that they gave the sad mashed potato in place of herb rice with the steak too. Saute veges and mashed potato was the same as the ones with the pork chop.
Overall great food!!... Would love to go back.
Heard that the cafe provides the very good taste for Thukpa.
And being Bhutanese I used to visit different reasturants and cafe,but usually never got the satisfactory taste for thukpa, like I used to have in my country. As per to my friend's suggestion visited the "Cafe Shillong"

I loved the food so much here that I came here 5 times . My favourite was probably the beef burger . Great size and somewhat affordable . This is probably in my top 10 favourite places to eat . The khow-suey is amazing . The pork is also one of my favourites it's a must try! Service is great . It's got a wifi too so that's amazing!! Enjoyed alot
It was indeed an excellent experience. The food was tasty. The ambience of the place was very good and service was prompt and courteous. No comments on rooms as we did not stay there.
Good local food, with women's power 😁 they serve your food with a smile on.

Been here twice on both my visits to Shillong. Cannot recommend it enough. Although there might be higher footfall on weekends as it's famous with locals as well. Recommend the thupka and the lemon chicken with herbed rice.
Love the place and the people managing it.. Some of mny go to things things there are cheesy fries, Caramelo, Momos.. Food here is amazing with many options for Vegetarians too
