This restaurant has the usual variety of tourist food. The Indian food was excellent, especially when compared with other nearby restaurants.
Pros:
- good view, though less expansive then restaurants up the hill
- great, freshly made food
Cons:
- some of the seating was wearing out
- the steps up to the restaurant were steep, making them hard to climb for anyone with a mobility impairment

Very beautiful view of the sunset
The food here is very good and good value. A big selction is offer on the menu to suit all tastes. The view is something to savour too whilst you enjoy some excellent Rajasthan cuisine. The staff here are excellent too, very friendly and informtative. Breakfast here too is also very good, what better place to watch a new day break than the terrace overlooking the lake. Fantastic!!

Best restaurant in Udaipur. We ate here four times. The Chicken Tikka is succulent, perfect. The mixed vegetable was a thick, delicious stew. We ate at other well reviewed restaurants, but Sunset View was the best by far! Highly recommended!

This is my 3rd.Visit at Sunset View A Tandoori Restaurant.I ordered theButter chicken (Boneless Chicken cooked in a special masala gravy) and it was truly awesome! The service was very good with just the right balance between attentiveness and privacy. I had a wonderful experience thanks to Bhawana ji for her five star hospitality and magement.

The food here is some of the best I have eaten in India. It's great to have non veg options on the menu too. The chicken tikka and the butter chicken are both outstanding and the biryani is also excellent - but anything you order is going to be tasty. The chef is really talented - if you have time to order in advance (that day) you should definitely try his mutton curry and his mutton soup. I honestly cannot say enough about how good that soup was... best thing I have eaten in two months in India!
The owner Rahil is friendly and a great host. The view is excellent, amazing at sunset and beautiful in the evening. Definitely worth a try when you are in Udaipur.
We had just arrived in the city, did a couple touristy things and were starving while looking for a place to eat. Came across this place in the late afternoon, early evening. Not sure they were quite open as there was some confusion when my cousin was talking to the staff but they accommodated us. Another reason I think they weren't open was us 4 were the only people there, the chairs were stacked and the food took forever to prepare. This is not a negative if they opened early just for us but would be a negative if not... i'm just not 100% sure.
But when we did get the food, it was delicious and plentiful. The view was amazing and we ended our meal as the sun was setting over the lake which the restaurant overlooked (which again makes me wonder about their hours because nobody else came to eat during that entire ~2 hours).
Would visit again if returning to udaipur, but just not when completely starving.
