11-Mar-2020 - Been to Udaipur recently and found this amazing cafe in old city after going through some recommendations on Zomato and TripAdvisor.
Well, totally worth the hype. I visited there every day during my stay.
Ambiance - Superb. Nice and cozy with with some rustic and artistic touch.
Staff- While many foreigners visit this place, we didn't find any difference in treatment. Staff was friendly and welcoming
Food - The menu ranges from Pancakes to Salads to Sandwiches to Musli to Shakes to Coffees.
Out of everything that I ordered I loved the items mentioned below
1. Eggy Cheese Sandwich
2. Oreo Shake
3. Cappuccino
4. Cafe Frappe
Even tried pancakes but can be a skip.

A must visit place when u r in Udaipur. Staffs attitude is brilliant. Food was fantastic.
Ordered a veggie pizza and a veg cheesy sandwich. Pizza was really good with perfect crust n perfect toppings. Sandwich was also decently prepared, had to settle for a veggie sandwich since chicken sandwich was not available. Also please order the freshly squeezed orange juice. Loved the cute and chill ambience of the place. And the server/manager was very nice and jovial all throughout which made the experience even better.
This one was such a pleasant surprise. Landed up here because it was on the list of places with Gold and it turned out to be absolutely satisfying.
There's barely 3-4 tables but it has a very homely ambiance. The menu has a lot of vegan options. We ordered omelettes which were cooked well and served with some crisp toasted brown bread. The lattes are good. One surprise was the masala Chai which was quite different from anywhere else and is a must try.
Very very reasonable with Zomato Gold and even without it.

The cafe is lakeside, but not rooftop. It's a small cafe with about 7-8 tables, and a cool vibe. Pizzas are good, and so are the tea and coffee. Good to relax in the evening
This place is really amazing, got a vibe that i am sitting in Greece, the hospitality is amazing, the food is just great and the view is alsoo very good, the bruschetta was the best
Great little cafe in the centre of udaipur. We had a quick bites and coffee after the city palace visit. the staff was friendly and the food very fresh. the menu is modern with choices of drinks and snacks. The prices are reasonable for the location and food quality. Nice little set up inside with a small sitting area.
best cafe not just for view but it's food as well. Cafe is at best location just besides the Leela Palace and at Rooftop giving best view of Lake pichola and mountains behind. Very close to Lake & Ambrai Ghat. Ambience is awsem and 'The Pizza' i have never had pizza like this, this was best pizza i have ever had and cold coffee was also something different all other dishes were Yummy without any complain. Staff is so courteous & kind to help and serve whatever we need that's the reason katrina Kaif & Ishaan Khatter visited this cafe. Please Visit this Cafe it is far better from other highly expensive Rooftop cafes.
The most beautiful and rustic cafe in Chandpole, Udaipur.
Perfect to laze for as long as you want and relish some lip smacking food.
The decor is very intriguing and that's what we loved the most about this cafe.

We love this Cafe. Everything we ate and drank here during our week in Udaipur was excellent. Definitely the best cappuccinos we found in town (actually the only good ones), the fruit salads are amazing, and the muesli and porridge are top notch. The staff are all super friendly and will probably start giving you discounts when they get to know you. I wish every Indian town had a Grasswood Cafe.

Indeed, @grasswoodcafe is a wonderful cafe to be at with your family where you can spend time with your loved ones by having a Lakeview scenery at the rooftop!
And we went to this cafe at the perfect timing and that was sunset 🌇, we could see the beautiful colours in the sky plus the palace in the middle was shining and we were just enjoying ourselves by having delicious food which was farm fresh pizza, loaded fries with Mojito with Batadi White Rum 🍸.
Also, had ordered this Alfredo Pasta which was super delicious and cheesey..it had veggies, basil which were giving it a perfect taste plus the cheese balls were absolutely fabulous in taste...they were just melting in my mouth that's why had to repeat my order 🤪(had ordered some more dishes like veg Biryani, rice and dal, mayo sandwiches but couldn't get time to click the photos but they were absolutely fabulous 😍)
The hygiene was maintained at the cafe and there were 2 floors where people could enjoy their personal space with their loved ones by having a lake view at @grasswoodcafe !
I would highly recommend you all to visit this cafe if you visit Udaipur as it's super amazing place and I'm definitely gonna visit this cafe next time if I go to Udaipur 😁
Cute cozy cafe in the heart of the centre. Despite the location not a lot of outside noise comes in. It’s peaceful with chill music. We came here several times to relax and do some online work. Coffee is good. Love that they have vegan milk and meals available. Vegan muesli was tasty. Owners/staff are the friendliest of whole Udaipur!
The place is cute, with a chill atmosphere and the coffe is simply amazing!!
The owner is very friendly and shared with us some nice chats about Indian culture 😊
