This place is the best for all those who love oriental good! The best part is the chef asks you how you like your food and each dish you order is made to your preference!

Their dimsums are heavenly! And their condiments (the chilli oil and chilli garlic chutney) are the best to go with the dimsums!
This place can be the perfect for a celebration or a date or even for days when you want comfort food! It is an absolute go to for oriental lovers!
One of the restaurants inside the Hyatt, The Oriental Grill specialises in South East Asian cuisine - Dim Sums, Sushis, Crabs you name it! Tried the Crab California, Sushi and Noodles. Everything was pitch perfect in taste and presentation. There's a live grill station where everything you order is cooked right in front of you! And I took the chance to cook for myself as well! Lovely visit!
The best and authentic oriental food in town. The live grill is a different experience alltogether along with the crazy Hyatt experience
The food was amazing the service was really good but only bad thing is it does the parcel the remaining food.
Got a complimentary drink for women's day! Delicious food, as always.
Excellent food and excellent service!! This is a must place for foodies and oriental cuisine lovers!! Ambience and live grill add to the wonderful experience.. the vegetarian sushi platter and the edamame and water chestnut dim sum is a must try. The caramel nougat Alaska cake with chocolate ganache is also fantastic! The service was also prompt and customer-friendly. Overall, it was a wonderful experience with lip-smacking food!!
Breathtaking food. Amazing staff.
The sushi was amazing too.
Plus the ambience was just perfect
Ravi was really helpful with everything. Guided us perfectly.
A must visit place for Oriental cuisine. The ambiance and the environment is good with superb aroma of grilled food. There are course meals on offer which you may choose. Food is prepared in front of you and that is an experience in itself. Must try are sushi, frozen strawberry, chocolate ganache and chicken rice.
Highlight is service and courteous staff.
It was absolutely a great place! The food and service was on point! And our celebration was amplified with TG’s celebratory cake for our anniversary, and there were other wonderful couples who shared and celebrated the grill table space with us. We couldn’t have asked for more.
Love the experience to cook your own food
It was quite a different experience I must say. Although it didn't live up to my expectations,
Positives:
1. The ambience was eye catching.
2. The food was very authentic and awesome.
3. Staff has good knowledge of each item. They were also non-reluctant to modify even Set Menu meal items.
4. Choco Ganache is a must try dessert.
5. Main course items are lip smacking.
Negatives:
1. They didn't had a receptionist outside TG's, we kept searching on the empty desk and no one showed up till 10 mins.
2. I reserved the table for 9:45pm and got the table at 10:15pm (even when the tables were available but weren't cleaned on time) with no waiting area outside the restaurant which was crowded.
3. No internal communication, We ordered Chicken but received Lamb.
4. 95% of Beverages were out of stock, only one item was available and that too tasted awful.
Loved every minute there!
Polite and courteous staff, great menu. Live cooking station with chef cooking right in front of us, just as we want it, so impressed. Everything was great. The place got quite busy too
Best oriental restaurant in Ahmedabad hands down! Again, had a great experience dining with them. Chef Ritik did a great job on the grill! Miso black cod and their signature fried rice were made perfectly by the Chef. He gave us details of the ingredients and where they were sourced from. It was a good experience seeing the food made in front of us. New menu is available which has some old favourites along with some new additions like pizza with Tuna Sashimi and soft shell crab sushi. Highly recommend it for dim sums, sushi and their teppanyaki grill dishes. Thank you for hosting us again!
Quite an experience dining here. We chose to reserve the place for my MILs birthday. Right from the booking we were in good hands, we were advised to come earlier than we had planned so we could enjoy the whole experience.
I must say the best part was watching the cooking happen right in front of you, it was my first experience, and I really enjoyed it. We took the 7 courses set meal, every course was carefully curated and a delight
Starting with a chicken egg drop soup
Followed be some sushi and on and on. We ended with baked alaska and my oh my was it good! I’m not much of a dessert person, but this had me sold, was tempted to steal some from my husband’s plate as well.
The place is ofcourse in Hyatt and the service is excellent, they took care of our allergies as well. Definitely a place to visit on a special occasion.
Great experience in terms of service and taste. Ambiance could be improved. We tried the sushi, dimsums and the set menu. All dishes were great. This is the only place in Ahmedabad with the teppenyaki grill concept so definitely worth a try for the experience.
Amazing food. Quantity quite less as compared to rates.
Live food served by Chef and prepared in front of us.
Overall nice place to visit.
After China House (in Hyatt, Ashram Road) and Nanjing (in CG Square Mall, CG Road) has closed down, this is one of the last places standing in Ahmedabad where one can enjoy authentic Oriental cuisine. I'll recommend their seven course meal which is prepared live in front of you. The food and the experience is one of its kind.
I can clearly say, this restaurant has become my favourite oriental restaurant in Ahmedabad. Located at Hyatt Vastrapur, this restaurant offers a unique concept of cooking the entire food in front of you.
I started my order with Veg burnt garlic clear soup. Though the soup looks quite simple, it is power-packed with flavours. This soup is definitely a must order. Further I ordered a Bao and Dumdum which were also fantastic. Before the main course they also serve a palate cleanser.
For main course, I ordered a chicken noodle and a gravy. The chef was courteous to ask my vegetable and sauce preference. The dish turned out to be delicious !! Overall its a complete gastronomic treat !! Loved it !!

We had seven course meal and the portion was as good as an unlimited buffet.
Main course was made live in front of us
The chef made sure to make our rice and noodles medium spicy after understanding our taste preference.
Cherry on the top was nougat caramel Alaska cake with perfect crunch of butterscotch caramel 👌👌
Had been here few days back for the dinner and it was a wonderful experience to have such kind of meal in ahmedabad. Had tasted the authentic oriental food here for the first time and it is damnn good...they are having teppanyaki griddle for each and every table so you can enjoy live cooking infront of you..
Had opted out for seven course set meal..
Started with burnt garlic veg clear soup..mild soup with distinct flavour of garlic and it was nice.
In started we had carrot ginger chilli bean dimsum...and it was one of the finest dimsum i ve ever had...
Then came the crispy veg tempura roll...this was amazing...plated beautifully and tasted heavenly...
Before moving towards to main course they gave amuse bouche..a palate cleanser made of something like yogurt sphere ... Just pops in your mouth..it was great.
In mains they served five treasure vegetables with garlic sauce and sticky fried rice with veggies..
Then cmee the desert..caramel alaska cake with warm chocolate ganache...it was mind blowing..one of the finest desert i have had in recent times...
We tried some mocktails out of which frozen strawberry and grapes and orchid sour were worth to try...
Overall had enjoyed a lot and totally impressed with the food, ambiance, service and all....
