The world-famous mohanthal has gramflour which is slightly coarse slow cooked in loads of clarified butter to perfection
The addition of dry fruit powder makes it rich

Amazing staff. Being a non-gujarati I had asked them straight about their specialities. They were so generous, they got around 10odd varieties for taste. Really enjoyed every one of it. Finally settled with their Elachi Penda, Mohanthar ( wonderful one and must try), milk cake and some hot. A place must visit for every one.
Wow!Sweets in ahmedabad always reminded me of this tiny place hidden in a small bylane of Ashram Road. Kandoi is like a must go to place if u are looking for MithaI.Kandoi's Mohanthaal is out the world.Now a days u will find quite a few other options around this place for sweets but kandoi will always remain the favourite.
Most re known Mithaivala in Ahmedabad is Kandoi, They are famous for originality, quality and taste. I preferred most of mithai from here to buy and best ones are Bundi Laddo, Kaju Katli and Mohanthal.
Mohanthal is available in loose packing is specially useful when you are traveling. Very compact and hygienic packing.
In Mango season they have very good fusion collection of mithai with mango flavour.

It is hard to find this shop but staff of this shop is very gentle.their sweets are to good. they are one of the oldest sweet shop of ahmedabad.must try palce.
Very nice food. They've have many branches in Ahmedabad but the best one is at Ashram road and it's not on the main road but easy to find from Google maps. It's behind the Gandhi bridge and opposite to Bata Showroom. Must try the Mohanthad there it's very much real and happening .

The genuinr Real taste of Mohanthal..Gujarati desert since ages.. Be there and buy one.
Good taste, before tasting i thought its just the name but no with such big name comes the great taste.... Found quite expensive but was worth it.
