This is my favourite place for Uttapam in Ahmedabad.
Good hygiene, quantity and taste.
Masala uttapam is my favourate. The sambar tastes really authentic, so as the chatni.

I have eaten at places where the dosas cost 150+ and where they cost 5-10 (literally).
This place beats both of them in terms of cost and taste (in terms of cost).
The sambar was superb. The coconut chutney was a bit watery but taste was good. There were enough potato fillings inside the dosas and they were made well ~ not too crispy nor too floppy.
It was a good experience and I will recommend it for the taste + cost.

It's very Old authentic South Indian Cafe where you can eat Dosa, Idlei, uttappa, and other south Indian food and also Gujarati Thali at reasonable rate. You can get tea and coffee too.

As the name suggests, south indian dishes are offered here. But since this place is neaby offices and in the key commercial area, as an improvisation, thali is served in the lunch time.
The said thali offers three Sabjis (one punjabi, one veg, one kathol), Dal(Sweet/Spicy), Rice, Roti(five), one Sweet and papad.
The food is good to eat daily and hot rotis are served which makes the thali more delectable.
