Generally a really hyped up place barely meets expectations. But we were pleasantly wrong! Sanman stand for what it delivers. Which is fresh seafood cooked perfectly in a family friendly space. We were staying in Nagaon (20 mins away) for a couple of days and still made it a point to eat our lunch at Sanman everyday! Must try is the pomphret thali, prawns thali crab masala(goan style) and komdi wade with chicken. They never disappointed once!
Tge street where its located is narrow , but there is car parking in a nearby building, all you have to do is ask at the desk. We are definitely going again, for our next trip to Alibaug! Or we might catch a ferry, eat and come back to Mumbai same day! They are that good!

Ordered chimbori masala fry, tisrya masala, chicken sangoti, jitada fry( local delicacy fish ), fish curry, mutton biryani and chapati.
They have Veg options as well.
Overall food is the best when it comes to Alibaug. Be prepared to waiting for 10 to 15 minutes. Always a que.

Best place for non veg lovers. And it is heaven for especially sea food at reasonable price. Everyone Should try surmai thali. They have ac and non AC seating arrangements. On weekends there is heavy rush. We had to wait 1.5 hrs for our turn but it is worth the wait.
The food is very tasty. Ambience cleanliness, hygiene is properly maintained. I had nonveg food. Surmai fry thali and solkadi. Fish was fresh and cury given along with thali was tasty. Actually I wanted to have prawns thali but the same is not available in their menu😐. Overall experience was very good.
Food tasted decent and nothing great compared to other places. Their tendency to make good quality items have decreased, maybe they have taken it on the personal side thinking they are the most reputed ones in alibag.
But seriously the taste here is average and the amount and hype this place has over the famous Indian chef Sanjeev Kapoor is completely worthless now.
Try a roadside restaurant or Shalimar having better taste and fresh fish on the menu.
Excellent food. We tried Sukha mutton and Prawns masala with chicken wada along with bombil fry and son kadi. Super taste. Hot hot served. Waiter Santosh was very helpful both in helping us decide food as well as which points to visit. We went on a week day hence no rush or standing in Que. The only negative was the ambience which was a bit old and needed renovation badly.
Probably the only restaurant I have rated 5 star. Food is tasty and it has a coastal konkani touch to it. We ordered a surmai thali, lobster and tiger prawns masala. We have also had oysters back in 2022 which were also tasty.

I had surmai rice plate which is a thali and pomfret fry single.
The coconut curry in the thali was just delicious.
Both the fishes were cooked perfectly being equally tasty.

Visited this restaurant after nearly 5 years. This time the experience was awesome. We ordered Tisrya (clams) Masala, pomfret masala, jitada fry and bhakri. I would highly recommend Tisrya Masala. Tisrya Masala and bhakri is the best and must try combo. Also they serve you with complementary rassa/kalwan and solkadi which also tastes good and enhances your experience of seafood cuisine.
Had the Chimbori (Crab) Masala and Tisrya (Clams) Masala Fry. The crab was juicy,sweet and succulent. The Tisrya Masala Fry was also good and the natural sweet taste of the clams paired well with the masala preparation.
Also had the Gulcand Shrikhand which was unexpectedly amazing, don't leave without having it for dessert.
The rates are also reasonable given the quality.
