Found out this place during my last visit to Alibaug. Situated on main road, towards Alibaug City, Charcoal Family Restaurant is a lovely place run by a lady.
The host was kind enough to welcome us. We tried the fish thali (pomphret), egg thali, egg masala, soal kadhi and ended the meal with a Brownie.
The portions are quite good and the most important part was the fresh chapatis that kept coming.
Overall a lovely place for lunch/dinner.
One of the finest restaurants in Alibag who offers local authentic culinary dishes rather than mass appeal or hype.
Each masala tastes magical as it is family secret and all at reasonable price level. Chicken & Pomfret Thali was superb.
Setting is small, seating area, extremely hygienic and food curated and cooked by a qualified experienced Chef who has eye for details.
