Good place , which has zomato delivery.
Nice food , hygiene, and good quality & more quantity.
The name of the place gives an idea of what is good about this place! You get some good lip smacking Sweet pongal and Puliyogare here, you have a small dine in options with few tables to sit and relish your food.
Decent portions of food and quality is good! Pricing can be reduced little for the food they offer. Recommended place for breakfast and lunch 😃
One of the best place to taste puliyogare here . But quantity is too low
Same like home food awesome
Must try sweet Pongal , Puliyogare
Visited puliyogare point for evening snacks, a classic place which is famous their puliyogare's
They offer the authentic puliyogare in namma Bangalore,
Additionally, their sakkare pongal is too good,
We tasted dosa and akki roti too, akki roti taste was fine ,
However, dosa didn't go well for me.
It's a must place to visit for tasting the best puliyogare in town!
Highly recommended 👍👍
Nice place for a weekend brunch.
Have been ordering from here for several days. Love the food and hygiene. Sweets are extra special. Will order again❤️❤️❤️
A small little outlet located in the heart of Basvangudi.
Must try - Coffee, Sweet pongal , Pulitogare
Each of these items was just out of this world. I would definitely go back again and again just for their coffee.
We did not like the bisibele bhath, it was totally missing the flavour/spices. The tomato rice bhath and pongal were ok.
The prices were on the higher side, each of these items was priced at about Rs. 40.
I will definitely go back for their coffee.:)
Puliyogare point is a famous eatery known for their South Indian delicacies especially Iyengar Puliyogare. It's at a walkable distance from the famous Bugle rock's back entrance.
Service:
-It can get difficult to get the waiter's attention here. Nonetheless, they're friendly and quick.
-Won't take more than 10 minutes to get the food on table.
Ambiance:
-Parking is available.
-Restaurant is on lower ground floor with two different sections; one with seating area(accommodates upto 25 people) and another without seating area.
Food:
-Puliyogare: The signature dish served here is definitely one of the best I have had. But, I'd prefer Puliyogare at Veena stores:)
-Sweet Pongal: Another signature dish here that wasn't upto the mark. It could have been sweeter.
-Jamoon: Too sweet, but not bad.
-Coffee: Perfect, neither too light nor too strong.
-Akki Roti: Crispy and delicious. A must try:)
Conclusion:
-Pocket friendly and definitely worth a visit when at Basavangudi.
-Will visit again for Bisibelebath and the items that go well with Sambar.
Food: 4/5
Service: 4/5
Ambiance: 3/5
QFM: 4/5
Puliyogare Point is located in one of the bylanes of GandhiBazar. We had visited this place one evening for dinner
Simple seating. Place is very popular for its food so dont give the ambiance any importance.
We tried mini idly with sambar,Puliyogare and Dosa.
Loved the Puliyogare. Sambar too tasted yumm. Service was quick. Prices were pocket friendly. Have heard a lot about their sweet pongal, will try it next time
They are available in swiggy and Zomato I ordered puliyogare, pongol, lemon rice, sweet pongol and sajjige . where the puliyogare stole the show with its authentic taste. The lemon rice and sajjiige were decent, and the generous portions ensured a satisfying meal. It's definitely reliable choice for those craving traditional South Indian flavors
Puliyogre Point, a culinary gem! The legendary Puliyogre steals the show with its finger-licking goodness. But the delights don't stop there – from Bisibelebath to Sweet Pongal and Lemon Rice, each dish is a flavor-packed masterpiece. The petite size of the place fades away against the backdrop of their unparalleled quality. As a regular lunchtime customer turned diner, the experience is a testament to the irresistible charm of Puliyogre Point. An absolute treat for the taste buds and it's pocket friendly!!
Tasted puliogore and lemon rice.
Must try puliogore. Rating 5/5 (Because of puliogore with chutney)
Lemon rice. Rating 4.5/5.
Cons: place should be cleaned after having food as it was not cleaned when we had visited.
Other than this well maintained and hygienic foods are served.
The Puliogare is delicious. Vegetable side dishes that are often not specified on the menu are available if you ask nicely. Highly recommend the Kovakkai /Ivy Gourd/ stir-fry side dish. It is delicious and has coconut and a simple seasoning. It's called "Tondekai Palya" in Kannada and "Tindore ki subzi" in Hindi. We also had the masala vadai - nothing to write home about here.
A good place for a quick vegetarian breakfast or lunch. The menu is limited. They don’t have a kitchen there, so cooked food is brought in and served. It’s a small place that can seat around 30 people. Usually not very crowded. Have been there umpteen times. Food is pretty good. Sweet Pongal, khara Pongal and puliyogare are the best and must try. Mini idly dipped in sambar is good too. Avoid vada as that’s usually not crispy. It is not a fancy place. It’s one level up from typical darshinis. You go here for purely for the taste of food and nothing else.
One of the legendary places in South Bangalore. "Chip of the old block” Puliyogare Point is the same unit of “Kadambam” an authentic Iyengar family Dinning restaurant. Poliyogare and sweet Pongal are the Tasty and famous items. This is one of our favorite place, Loved the Puliyogare. Their puliogare is a must try. Service was quick. Prices were pocket friendly. The Puliyogare is delicious. Mini idly dipped in sambar is good too. Gasagase (poppyseed) payasa, ambode, Gujju avalakki are other must try items. Their food is so rich in flavours, it'll make you visit the place again and again.
This is one of our favorite place, when we roam in Basavanagudi streets. Situated near to Bugle rock park, this place is famous for puliyogare and Pongal. We tried bisibelebath, pongal and puliyogare. All were good. But puliyogare was exquisite. Service staff is less, so it may not be so efficient.
Dedicated parking spot is not available, but you can find some side roads. Seating arrangements are descent. Try this place, if you love puliyogare.
Food is great it is more like stand and eat and worth the cost. It is not a full fledged restaurant more of a quick bite
One of the legendary places in Basavanagudi area, if you're looking for something different from idli dosE vadE. They have puliyogare, gasagase (poppyseed) payasa, ambodE, vangibath, chitranna etc. All good and fresh!
