For us, the South Indians, fish and fish curry will be really different from this. The Vetki fish is something different and the Vetki Sorche or the Vetki fish curry is something different. The mustard flavour in the curry was exhilarating. The spice was mixture was great and perfect, no hesitation in ordering another fish. One can have this with rice, and hence this is light on your stomach. I can conclude that Vetki Sorche is one of the best Bengali Delicacy I've ever tasted in Bengaluru

Being a bengali sometimes I just crave for bengali food so one day I ordered lunch from this restro and trust me guys if it’s awesome and pocket friendly as well. I love the bengali flavour in all the food items. Must try place in bangalore if you are a bengali food lover.
Ordered HMK Special Chicken Biriyani and quite amazed to see 2 well cooked Chicken Leg Pieces along with 1 Egg and 1 Potato (aloo). Bengali biryani is incomplete without a piece of potato, glad to find it inside the box. Rice is long grain Basmati and the Biryani tastes like yum! Best Bengali Biryani in Bengaluru at this price point and it is absolutely value for money. Packaging is also good. I will definitely order from here and recommend others to taste it.
P.S: My non bengali friend wanted to taste Bengali Biryani, so I ordered from here. I was a bit tensed about how my friend will react, however, she liked the taste and preparation. So if any non bengali friend wants to try Bengali cuisine, this restaurant is highly recommended.
The ilish bhapa was just out of the world.. A big nice piece 😁😁 and nice thick gravy (trust me both of this is uncommon in bangalore especially with ilish)

I usually do not like the. Dry chilli chicken South Indian style but the bengali style I love it what they made. Chicken punjabi was something new I tried for first time and it was too yummy.
After so long got the chance to have tasty yummy Bengali cuisine. Love their food. Must try. Good food, reasonable price what else we need more.

Ordered Chicken Thali, nicely packed in individual containers, rice, aloo uchhe bhaja,niramish móong dal narkel diye,lau er torkari, bori diye shaak, chicken kosha and a slice of gondhoraj lebu followed by aam er chutney and papad. Aloo uchhe bhaja is the starter with nicely fried aloo uchhe, móong dal having a sweet taste remenicent of home-cooked food.
Chicken kosha was rich, but not spicy,easy on the taste bud. An awesome meal overall.
The food was very good. Authentic taste at an affordable price. But it is better to take away the food. As they don't have a proper ambience for dining.
There is absolute no place to dine. This branch is just for parcels. But the food taste and quality is worth the price. A blessing for all the bengalis in bangalore. You will feel at home after taating the food.
Their veg cutlet was good. We ordered katla thali, chingri malai curry and chicken dak bunglow. Chicken dish was not that good but chingri malai curry was tasty. Also their thali portion was huge. 2 person can easily share in one.

Food quality is really good and I like it always. However, I was disappointed when I visited BTM layout branch today. Though it was mentioned in google as an option for “Dine-in” but there is no option at all. This branch is ONLY for delivery or take away.
I went for there special mahalaya buffet lunch on the day of mahalaya 2019, no doubt i loved it absolutely, items were basmati rice,noboratna daal, begun bahar or doi begun, topse fry, kochur loti with prawn, mocha ghonto, muro ghonto, vetki sorse, pona kalia, chatni, papad, payes. I never have seen these much Bengali
item all together buffet in Bangalore honestly, for me it was superb. Another point is so many item but not one even, tasted bad, you will find the authenticity of Bengali food, price is very reasonable, only the place is not huge enough , you have to wait sometimes but again worth waiting.
Few mughlai dishes to vouch for:
1) mutton chaap- precisely marinated and cooked, this mughlai gravy makes a great combination with their tawa parathas.
2) mughlai chicken roll- an amazingly delicious and humungous roll.
3) Chicken/mutton biryani- we just can't have enough of their biryani. Absolutely perfect Kolkata style mughlai flavour (no excessive chilly powder and colour that spoils most biryanis of Southern India) this is a must must must have.
Plus the professionalism of team HMK.
We mostly do takeaways, as space in the new building is a constraint.
I have been a fan of Bengali cuisine. It used to be a dine out restaurant but now it is only takeaway. I love their fish preparation especially Katla Kalia
