fast delivery and food as usual super
Food tastes Good, needs little more promotions. Try giving competitions and score boards.
The ambiance can be more related with the title (Jallikattu) and Tamizh Culture., If possible make it a more like Bar come Restaurant, instead of family cuisine, Kudos Team, All the best !.
A real treat to briyani lovers. Loved the mutton briyani combo in jallikathu.karupatti halwa a must try one dessert. Nagore Burini kanji another a much try dessert.
Food was awsome ! Briyani and Madurai Masial Kozhi Thokku was very nice Overall it's a very nice restaurant, nice place for family The interior looked spacious. The staff who attended us was friendly.
Awesome biriyani in chennai and one of the best places for authentic chettinad food, Madurai masial kozhi thokku was their signature dish,Nice ambience excellent hospitality

The food is good in terms of quantity, but taste wise may be a little lagging. There is one predominant flavour rather than all the compenents weighing in. You cannot taste the intricate ones, the ones that do that little something to your taste palette.
The service is good, the serve and clear quick. May be it was the time we went since it was not crowded. There were hardly few tables occupied.
The menu seems limited based on number of items. But the portion size is large. So ordering 10 dishes elsewhere is equivalent to ordering 4-5 dishes here.
The place is well maintained & clean.
Dining here is a one time trial and error thing. You may or may not like it based on your tastes.
After a tiring weekend shopping, me along with my friend started searching for some nice restaurant. Had a quick phone call with my foodie friend and he suggested two restaurants out of which Jallikatu was our pick. Located right behind big bazar this place can be easily spotted with the help of Google maps.
We ordered hot and sour chicken soup. Never i have ever seen that much chunks of chicken in a soup. But the soup tasted little blant and i had to add pepper and salt to make it really hot and sour. The waiter suggested to try their naatu kozhi peratal which actually tasted different from our typical masala chicken curry. Chicken 65 biriyani tasted good and the portion was also huge. My friend had non veg meals and felt fish curry was way to spicy and mutton curry was just okay.
The interior looked spacious and also, the place was not packed when we stepped in. Parking could be a problem here. The staff who attended us was friendly. We also got to know from him that, they are about to start buffet from next weekend.

Very nice response from servants ! Pleasant environment! Food was awsome ! Briyani and Madurai man satti fish kolambu was very nice ! Overall it's a very nice restaurant, nice place to a dinner
Last Sunday we had some shopping plans on t.nagar and we finished our shopping exactly by 12:50 noon. The very next thing should be so obvious about a place for lunch. We already tried maplai and Andhra meals etc. So this time I decided to try Jallikattu. The reason being there is something related to Madurai and being a native of Madurai it emotionally connects you to your home. It was exactly behind big Bazaar, pondy Bazaar in the first floor. The ambiance was decent with enough tables to accommodate 50 - 60 p at a time
We ordered a creamy mushroom soup, nethili fry, karandi omlette to start with. The soup was delicious and so creamy. I loved it much. Nethili fry was so small and the quantity also less is what we felt. Karandi omlette was typical Madurai style. For the main course we ordered a non veg meal for Anu and egg biriyani for me. My junior tasted everything and felt so full soon. Non veg meal was good and Anu enjoyed the mutton kolambu and fish kolambu much. The egg biriyani also good but one kind request is please reduce the masala spices. I got almost 2 table spoon of elachi and other masala items.the staff were Friendly.
If you are very hungry and want to try some Madurai style cuisine you can visit Jallikattu once.
Checked out the Unlimited Biryani weekend. Ambiance is nice and the biryani was good.
This is a trending restaurant right now because of the name it got. The food are also tastes great and it has a kids section. So you can happily eat while your kids ll be playing in kids section. The hotel looks great with traditional culture. The ambiance it so soothing and has very different south indian dishes which cannot be seen on any other restaurants. And services are also good.
Worth the money. Taste is Good. Good ambience
Spicy cuisine. Not on the same level as Virudhunagar, the undisputed Heavyweight, but good enough. Worth a try. Competitive pricing. Could be part of Chennai's best if it is run correctly. Recommended.
This is my 2nd visit..
Today i try chicken Biriyani combo it has 1 welcome drink (lime with mint )
One bowl of chicken Biriyani with gravy raitha and brinjal and a small bowl of semi dry chicken. 2 mini parotta 1 desert and finally 1 sweet...
I just feel the real madurai native flavour in all dishes...
Worth eating..don't miss it..!
Soon will visit again
All the local food varieties like 'aattukallu', etc are served. Names of the dishes and gravies are native too. Waiter picking your order is a bit pushy. Apart from that a great restaurant.
Ideal eatout for non veg dishes...serves chettinad, indian, tandoor, singaporean, chinese dishes as well as mocktails...at affordable rates..lots of variety in menu...offers special discounts for corporate and group bookings. Accepts advanve reservation
Very good ambiance, kids play area, traditional taste. Inji idicha kozhi is awesome. Need to try. But service is bit slow while there is crowd. Remaining all good
Taste was good but service was pretty slow even during week day with less crowd. Typical south Indian cuisine
