The Sri Kamakhya Temple is amazing! It feels so peaceful and special inside. The colors and design of the temple are really pretty. When they do the rituals, it makes the place even more interesting. And the view from the temple is so nice. If you want a calm and cultural experience, you should definitely visit Sri Kamakhya Temple. It's a beautiful and memorable place to go. ❤️🙏

Both The temple and crowds are well managed by the administration. The queues are there but they are very coordinated. It definitely takes more than a few hours if one stands in the general queue. The VIP passes ( 500/-per head) are released every few hours so that the insides of the main temple don't get too crowded. Only issue are the pandits who are everywhere inside the main complex and almost shame / bully you into parting with money. The devotees don't get more than few seconds to bow in front of the main deity and they are pushed ahead ...which is understandable as there are thousands waiting in queue.

Temple is good but there is total mismanagement by the authority. They don't have a proper crowd management plan only. There was a special festival going on when we visited the temple and we had to stand in queue for 11hours. Many old aged people fell sick, many people missed their return train in the evening.

Kamakhya Devi Temple, nestled in the serene hills of Guwahati, is a spiritual haven. The ancient architecture exudes mystique, and the sacred ambiance is palpable. The temple's cultural and historical significance adds depth to the visit, offering a profound spiritual journey. However, the crowds during peak times can be overwhelming. Devotees and tourists alike are drawn to the divine energy, making it a bustling yet enriching experience. A must-visit for those seeking a blend of history, culture, and spirituality

Maintenance around the temple is so well planned that you won't find anything dirty there. Streets are clean. Inside temple premises you'll find a sudden shift in energy. Everything so pure n divine. Must visit

There are 2 timings for special entry. Try and reach as early as possible. It took ~3hrs 45 mins for is to actually visit the temple. While special entry has waiting rooms, the normal entry queue is processed at a faster rate.

My visit to Maa Kamakhya Temple was an awe-inspiring and spiritually enriching experience that exceeded all expectations. This ancient temple, perched atop the Nilachal Hill in Guwahati, is not just a religious site but a cultural marvel that resonates with history and devotion. The architecture of Maa Kamakhya Temple is breathtaking, showcasing intricate details and symbolic elements that reflect the rich cultural heritage of Assam. The vibrant colors, traditional motifs, and the overall design create a sacred ambiance that immediately transports visitors into a realm of divine energy. The spiritual significance of the temple is palpable, and the serene atmosphere within the sanctum sanctorum is conducive to meditation and introspection. The rituals and ceremonies conducted by the dedicated priests add to the authenticity of the spiritual experience, providing a profound connection to the divine. Visiting Maa Kamakhya Temple is not just a religious pilgrimage but a cultural and spiritual journey that leaves a lasting impression. Whether you're a devotee or someone seeking a glimpse into Assam's rich heritage, this temple is an absolute must-visit. My five-star rating is a testament to the profound impact this sacred place had on my heart and soul.

The place has become more of business rather that spirituality ! The pandas simply extort money from the pilgrims and they are very foul mouthed and not at all well behaved. They simply demand money even before the darshan and once they have the money they don't even care about the pilgrims !

Kamakhya Temple sits on a hill and is dedicated to the goddess Kamakhya. The hill's view adds to the beauty. Crowds, especially during festivals, can be overwhelming. The rituals are fascinating, but some maintenance could improve. They also serve free food at certain times. It's a peaceful place for self-reflection. Overall, visiting the temple was a profoundly moving and enriching experience for the soul.
