Hyderabad is the city of Nawabs and famous for Biryani.
The busy road of panjagutta which connects to the area's of many homes and offices as well. While travelling on your right hand side you'll see this one amazing restaurant name MERIDIAN. Though Panjagutta has got many food joints but this restaurant has got its own taste.
This restaurant is not new, But as a matter of fact they have been serving from last 20 years. This is a 3 storey building. My first visit to this place was with my dad when he thought of showing me some authentic taste of biryani.
Now coming to food :-

the perfect taste of biryani you'll actually get the taste of pure ghee, Mutton is soft & tender, not tooo much of masala

POST LOCKDOWN I've visited this place and i've seen how a hyderabadi restaurant is taking care of their customers so wisely, by keeping the tables and chairs sanitized
Every single time you visit this restaurant you'll see so many orders of swiggy and zomato.
But there's a even a sad part that many people still don't know about this restaurant.

Had mutton biryani from this place.
I can say that it is one of the best biryani I had.
Biryani is good, especially mutton tastes superb.
Had a good amount of portion.
Only concern is raitha could be better.
Overall worth a try.
I have been dinning in this place from past 5 years,love to have biryani and is simply beat than other restaurants

Their mutton biriyani is the best Hyderabadi biriyani ever I had. All their mutton items are good, to be frank, they serve the best quality meat in Hyderabad for sure. Mutton Biriyani is perfectly blended with Masala and rice is so soft .. Without any second choice, give your taste buds a feast with their lip smacking mutton biriyani. I used to get parcels through Dunzo. Yet to experience their dine-in experience.
Very good biryani I ate 5 times it is so good. The Mirchi ka salan they gave is really very good but pieces should give more of size and also quantity of biryani should increase a bit. Every thing good you can enjoy the biryani..

I had visited the place while I was crossing by and was not a planned visit. It was for dinner and the orders were really simple.
Chicken Malai kebab and Chicken Biryani-
Kebab was really really succulent, soft, juicy and flavorful.
Biryani was something absolutely new to the palate. The grains were long, very flavoured and light to the stomach.
The decor was not too happening but average. However who cares when one gets good food.
Must try biryani place.
One of the best mutton biryani you can get in the city. It tastes yum when you pair it up with their in-house salan which is completely unique compared to any other restaurant in the city. Their chicken is not up to the standard of their mutton biryani that's one disappointment.
As everyone says “one of the best biryani in Hyderabad is Meridian restaurant biryani”. It’s true I had Jumbo mutton biryani which is sufficient for 4 people and up to 5 moderate eaters can have. Decent ambiance and separate counter for take away and online order pickup. Online or card payment will be accepted only if bill is above 500… two wheeler parking is available at cellar.. and for 4 wheeler no separate parking have to park roadside.

This has got to be one of the best kept secrets of Hyderabad (atleast for outsiders). When it comes to the best biryani in Hyderabad, the names you hear are Paradise, Shadab, Bawarchi etc. Meridian deserves to be on the top with these restaurants. Near perfect mutton biriyani, consistently great taste, soft mutton, value for money - Meridian gets everything right. If you are a fan of Hyderabadi dum biryani (or any biriyani) this is a must visit place.
Apparently they started as a mutton shop, and then developed as a restaurant. Even now, there's a mutton shop right next door.
Their other specialty is mutton chops, an item not available in all restaurants.
The only negative is the ambience. The ground floor 'general' dining hall is open to all, and is like a fish market. Expect huge crowds on holidays. And they don't bother seating people in an organised manner, it's a free-for-all. The first floor is for 'family', but Meridian has a funny definition of family - there needs to be atleast one female in the group :-).
Check out the funny instructions kept on the table... Drunk customers not allowed due to "objections from females" 🙂. Wonder how they'll react if a drunk female shows up.
Basically the restaurant mgt is still in the stone age, but who cares as long as they make great biryani.
And yeah, there is zero parking for 4 wheelers.
The fact that you'll find crowds thronging the place despite all these hassles is a testimony to their great biryani. / Jun-2023
From a distance, it appears that we will not be able to finish the entire handi Biryani, but once we started, it was finished in just a few minutes.
The rice used does not feels heavy on the stomach.
The accompaniment supplied enhances the flavour of the main course.
It is cost-effective as well.

Ordered Special Chicken Biryani with extra piece with Double Masala. Taste is good. Salaan was extraordinary. Raita should have been better. Like thick raita with onions might be good.
What a beautiful vibe. Totally worth visiting. Food was awesome and scrumptious. Enjoyed a lot. Had chicken biryani prawns fry naan methi chaman all became my favorite😍😍😍
Famous place for mutton. Have ordered Mutton Biryani for couple of times and really liked it! From few months, finding mutton pieces little hard now and then.

I came to Hyderabad just to have the real authentic biryani, being unbiased I didn’t went to overrated Paradise or any other so called famous outlets to taste biryani, instead I searched places that serves real biryani with less reviews/ to check their authenticity.
The ambience is great, service is quick, and the chicken dum biryani, even if you order the mini one it’s ample for one foodie,
Initially when I got my order I was thinking how could I finish all this( though I was hungry) but as soon as I started eating everything was finished in a matter of minutes.
The spices / aroma / rice / salan and raita were purely perfect and the taste you have becomes an experience
One should definitely have biryani here, totally unbiased and great taste
The only con is if you plan to eat just biryani assuming for one guy the bill wouldn’t go more then 200 RS, they don’t accept any digital payments below 500 RS, so one needs to pay cash else one needs to bribe the waiter for rs 20 to get the cash out of the UPI/ digital payment

Peaceful atmosphere and fine table serving services,
One should never miss the taste of Nalli Ghost Biriyani here,
Mutton served here tastes too good and wants us go more and more,
Visited this hotel at panjagutta after a long time and still has that same respect and reason to visit again and again ..

Reached place around 1:30PM on Thursday. The place was fully crowded. Managed to find a space. Ordered Mini Mutton Biryani and the service was quick. They also served salan (which was little sweeter side) and raita.
They served very small 2 pieces of mutton in biryani. The aroma of Biryani was nice and rice was also very flavourful and it was good.
When I tried to pay them, they mentioned that they don't accept UPI and Card payment below 500₹ and I have to pay them by cash only which I didn't like.
