For anyone who lived in the Ameerpet area in 2004/2005, this restaurant was a life saver. Full meals @rs 40 for jobless youth and bachelor's was a boon. Now I revisited this restaurant today. Food is of good quality and the service is great. Awesome place, simple restaurant at affordable prices

Had a delicious lunch here on Jan 1st 2024. We were served rice, sweet, dondakaya masala, potato fries, tomato dal, gongura pachadi, sambar, rasam, curd and papad as part of unlimited thali which costed ₹170. All the items were delicious and there were two pickles, podi and ghee available on every table. Although this place also serves non-veg items, I would definitely recommend this mess to all the veg thali lovers. Only drawback is it is too much crowded so my suggestion to reach here by 12 PM
For all South Indians, the food is excellent here. Typical South Indian meals. Huge crowd. Waiting is more. One must stick to a table once entered, like we usually do at marriages in olden days. After everything, the taste is good.
Had a perfect veg meal after a long gap. Worth waiting in a queue. I feel that a 1 veg meal is enough for one head. Try to avoid ordering non veg curries if you are single. Omlet tastes good 👍.

Visited this iconic mess for a dinner during Hyderabad visit. We opted for a veg meal which costed 170₹ and mutton fry which costed 290₹.
Veg meal contains sambar along with rice and different vegetables, pickle and curd. Rice was very tasty which was served unlimited with meal. Curd was very tasty, goes well with rice. Mutton fry was also very good. Mutton was cooked perfectly. Sharing is not allowed for veg meal. However, we can share if we order biryani along with it.
The place is always crowded and there will be waiting. So, visit early to avoid crowd.

A legendary mess for everyone. Maintaining the same consistency in serving the meal to everyone. Decent wait area as the chairs will usually occupied soon after they open for service. Budget friendly. Good variety of items served on the thali. Loved their sweet and the chutneys served. If you are looking for a decent meal when near ameerpet this is a go to place.

One of the best place to have South Indian meals. Every dish is of home taste and feels like cooked at home. Unlimited meals is served for just 170 rupees. You will get different varieties of curries like Alu fry, Dondakai gravy, sweet, papad, different chutnies with ghee and fun powder. Additionally you can order chicken or prawns curry or omelette for your meals with additional cost.
We ordered chicken fry which was also awesome taste.
Tip: if you are visiting this place first you need to send person to the counter and others to hold the table space. It’s very very crowdy but great place to have meals waiting is a worthwhile.
Food quality is excellent.. gets too busy and crowded during Lunch. Meals cost Rs 160/-.
Parking space is very limited. Serving is also fast.
