It's a seafood restaurant. Not suitable if you are a pure vegetarian. Although they have some dishes for vegetarians.
We had fish fry and prawns mango curry. Both the dishes were excellent. Amazing taste and served beautifully. The staff is courteous and the ambience is beautiful. You have outside seating and the place is filled with greenery. The building is one of those old architectures in that part of the city. It's a little on the pricey side, and that would be obvious from its location.
Serene ambiance. Great food! Amazing beverages. Highly recommend the coffee drinks. Elachi cold coffee was so refreshing and tasty!
Loved the prawn mango curry! Crazy good appams.
Will definitely go back if I get to visit kochi again!
First and first, the food is super amazing and made right infront of your very eyes. Since they only use butter you don't have to be constantly afraid of which oil they use. Especially, all dishes made with meat are boneless unless it's a seafood.
If you plan to hangout with 10-15 people, calling them beforehand is advisory to keep the tables reserved.
The old Portuguese settlement vibe is glorious in the day than night. This has a hotel, restaurant and a farily big meeting hall for 35 people.
All international travellers can feel safe because everyone here has good English vocabulary. Can't wait to meet you again.
Love Kochi. Love Kerala. Love You.
It was scorching hot in Fort Kochi. Me and my friend googled searched and chose this since it had a lot of reviews. We got lucky, as the crowd came after we had finished dining. Now, the actual reason why I wanted to post the review - there was this amazing curry that we ate - the Mango Prawn curry. The curry was so well done. Kudos to the chef! We also had some rice and Fish Fry, they were also nice. The ambience was great - nice music, low volume, friendly staff, and aesthetic interiors!
Amazing fish and prawns. Added additional spice to the fish to our taste. Would definitely be going back if we were staying longer in Kochi….
This is such a beautiful place! Great ambience and so much greenery around. And good service too.
We tried pan fried Calamari for starters. Appam with kadala curry, and prawns mango curry with Kerala rice. Nothing out-of-the-world about the food. Just plain old delicious soul soothing food. Loved how the flavours were so well balanced. We savoured every bit in absolute silence. Highly recommend the place. You should definitely try their coolers as well.
The chef, Altaf, makes one of a kind dishes that are fresh, delicious, fluffy, and light. We had the Mango Coconut Fish Curry, coconut rice, veggie pasta, chapatis, and palak paneer. All dishes were good. Altaf Bhai designed the menu himself and modeled the dishes after his own mother’s cooking locally in Cochin. The ambiance of the place was also very good and relaxing! A great choice for dinner.
A lovely place to drop by for lunch or dinner. The seafood is great, the ambience quiet and service prompt and efficient.
Stopped here for lunch, and we were in love with the place. The setting, friendly staff, and absolutely delicious food! We had a coupe of local vegetarian dishes, Kerala rice, and veg rice, and it was the best meal we had in Kochi to that point. Even the cold brew coffee was great, almost like a frappuccino, but not too sweet!
Chef said they'd only been open 6 months, and everything was made from scratch and locally sourced, and I believe it. And very reasonable price! HIGHLY recommended.
The beef, chicken and appams were excellent.. the fillet of fish cooked in Kerala spices in a banana leaf was perfectly done. There's no AC in the restaurant but old world colonial ambience is excellent! Staff are friendly and give good suggestions
