It’s right in the middle of Jew Town, a rooftop restaurant, the tables out on the balcony are a perfect seat from which to people watch or just soak in the picturesque Jewish Quarter. The menu is reasonably priced and staff, extremely courteous and polite. However, if you’re planning on visiting, keep enough cash as they don’t accept cards. If you’re looking for a place to spend a handful of lazy, quiet moments after a walk around the shops, this is the place to be!
Located close to the Jewish Synagogue, Cafe Crafters is a homely place with both traditional and continental items on the menu. The food is good and price reasonable. Was a bit uncomfortable in the heat because it's a non-AC restaurant. Nonetheless, eating here was a good experience. Srinka Ghosh
Crafters is a good cafe in the heart of Mattancherry! Decent sandwiches and fries. Would definitely recommend it to anyone. They offer wifi as well.
Very nice and comfy ambience (however it is located in the heart of a tourist spot so that is obvious!) Decorated well and pricing is more reasonable than some other restraunts in the vicinity. Had just a light lunch but the french fries were fresh and crunchy and the soup was good (nothing to rave home about it though) Keep in mind that they do not take card and the nearest ATM is not near at all! (Learnt that the hard way) but staff is very friendly and helpful :)

Nice little quaint cafe in the middle of Jew town in Mattancherry.. food is fresh and tasty.. A little expensive compared to the quality but I believe is moderately priced in that area.
The guy serving there forgot one of our dish but by thay time we were pretty full, so no complaints really....
Will I go back again? Definitely
Small cafe in the centre of the jew street. I opted for the balcony seat, it was a nice feel altogether. The painted railings and the old kerala style architecture of the building and the stairs was very impressive. Talking about the food i just tried the veg cutlet and paneer fingers plus hot chocolate. It was good but very few options for veg.
Again a late review visited there last February and it a small place in the narrow Jew Street but got a really nice and cool interiors and really good ambiance.
We arrived around 3:00 for lunch as it was late but still staff was happy and really to serve we order prawns tempura for starters and it was nice fresh prawns and was good in taste , next we ordered the fish and prawns moilee one with appam and other with rice and surprisingly it was the best thing I had the prawns and fish again fresh and they showed us the prawns and fish to select before cooking so we can select what we need that was the best part. Ended with nice coffee and it was really a lovely meal.
all in one a good visit and lovely food on offering.
Just ask them to prepare a cold coffee without ice cream & make it a bit strong - I bet that will be the best coffee you would've ever had. Apart from this, Sandwiches are good too. Overall, really liked the place, totally worth it.
A Great Place Would Love To Go There again If Possible The Staff Is friendly and the Prices Were Great !! A Great Place To Chill After A long day of Sightseeing and shopping Around Mattancherry . Would Recommend Going there And The Jew Town Club was Awsome!!
It was very hot on the last day of our trip to Kerala and after working up a sweat, a thirst and an appetite in Kochi, this upstairs cafe was just what we needed. A table on the balcony, overlooking the bustle of Jew Town and a cold, fresh pineapple juice, was what we started with their lime soda was indeed good and so was the cold coffee with ice cream, it was a very beautifully done up cafe.
We ordered the Fish Molee and Appam. Utterly delicious. Added to that the charming staff and terrific value for money and you have a winner.
It has both Veg and Non-Veg variety of food which includes mostly fast food. This is nice cafe to hang around with friends and family.
Price: INR 800/- for two
Venue: 1st floor
Parking: No
Service: Good
Agree with everyone here. Shocking level of service, sat on the balcony for 20 minutes before realising they’d forgot about me. Wasn’t a problem, was lovely and sunny. Just be aware. Then went in asked for a menu, went back outside. Said to give me 5 minutes. Nobody turned up. Went inside, literally no waiters to be seen. Ordered via the chef. Prawn curry. Was given a fish curry. Meh, it’s india. And it was delicious. Expensive for this area. Portions were minimal. Loved it.
Good place to chill and people watch. Food is good too!
It is a beautiful and awesome place. You get the best delicious food in town! I recently had appam and stew which was great! The homemade chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream is a must! The view outside is splendid! The place totally, totallyyy is worth for the money!!!
Amazing place! Loved it!
The balcony is a great place to stop and watch the world go by! It's got a great location and is a perfect place to stop and revive oneself! Tea and paneer fingers were nice! Toilets are clean and downstairs through a narrow alley.
Awesome food.!!!! Sandwich and fish well served
Friendly staff and ook snacks
Delicious spicy hot veg curry, Kerala fish curry, fluffy uppam, tasty chicken burger, and excellent service. Lovely spot to watch the Jew Street hustle and bustle.
Can’t rate the food but the attached antique shop is total chaos—in a good way, if you want to find a hidden gem.
Delicious food, friendly staff and nice environment.
