I had their vegetable cutlet which was very good, one of the better vegetable cutlets available in kochi. Their coffee was also good. But it wasn't heated enough, would have liked it more that way.
The service was great they ambience could have some upliftment.
Iconic place to visit in Kochi. Situated in the entrance of Broadway, Ernakulam. Parking is not available so if you are on a car, probably you will have to park it in the parking lot near ktdc information center. The coffee house is frequented by lot of locals as well as tourists. Victorian era ambience can be felt. They have opened a dedicated shop for sweets and other confectioneries. Even though the interiors are from pre Independence era, the hygiene is well maintained.. A good place to visit for meals, snacks and a great coffee..
An 100 year old building, a 70 year old restaurant in one of the oldest shopping centres in Kochi, possibility past it prime and maybe even old age, but still has many nostalgic stories to tell.
Food is as good as yester years, place is almost the same, no renovation, no update but still inviting.
Great place for snacks and a drink.
Takes you back in time with the vintage atmosphere. The food was nostalgic. The only miss was the excess time as they prepared everything fresh!
It’s a must visit for us each time we land in kochi. It’s such a nostalgic feel that you get when you step into the century restaurant. We always have the cutlet and coffee. Parking can be a challenge, however there is a pay and park at the entrance of broad way. Don’t expect modern facilities and luxury there.
Tasty veg food. The rustic age old look and feel is the same. As the name goes, coffee is a must try. There is a small family dinning area, which you may come across only in some of the old restaurants. There is a renovated sweets counter in the front. Very reasonable price. Located in a crowded market place and hence four wheeler parking isn't available, you can park at the nearby pay and park.
Bharath Coffee House: A historic gem in Kochi, exuding nostalgia and offering top-quality vegetarian food. Highly recommended for its rich history and delightful dining experience.
Vegetarian hotel with a long history over 100 years. Though the building was built in 1919, the restaurant started functioning in 1956. Both AC and non AC seating arrangements are available. Timely service and good food at nominal rates. Various types of pickes, curry powders and sweets are available.
If you want to revisit those good old vibes of the old days, then do visit Bharath Coffee House. Its one of the oldest restaurants of Cochin and they serves some tasty food, their Sharjah shake is one of my favourite. The onion uthappam, Masala Dosa is also superb.
