The Biriyani here is really yummy. However, I'd say the ambience is not really good. It's better if one gets the food delivered at home. The mutton dishes available here are also pretty good. Can give it a try.

I visited this place many times for the biryani and kebab actually.
I tried chicken biryani , mutton biryani , kebabs and firni and its worth the money completely.
Overall rating == 4.2/5 .

I totally love this place.i am always ready to visit this place. Their services, their quality & quantity really satisfying. Their biriyani is so lite, so aromatic, so flavourful omg i am feeling hungry while writing so think how beautiful it is really. They serve less spicy biriyani which is the actual beauty and all so other dishes are really must try dishes. They have really varieties of kabaabs with good amount. In winter they serve gajar halwa which is again an amazing dish to try, apart from that their sahi tukra and pirini is just like masaallah!!!! I really like their foods and ambience and also their services. They are so co operative that why i give this restro 5 out of 5 starts. Please vist this place onces and trust me you will come this place several time.
Nostalgia for me... Since my childhood...just a 100mts away from my place... U get the best Biryani (atleast I find it to be) and Mutton Pasinda and Rezala are the best in Calcutta... Over the years the have raised their price a bit too high... But the taste is almost the same as the old days... For casual dining a definite place if u love mughlai food.. dont miss their Firni and Gajar ka halwa.. they just melt in ur tongue.. just an advice lower the price a bit.. u will sell more...

Ambience- It's a 2 storied building, ground floor for non AC eating zone and the rates are lesser than AC zone. U can also have thier delicious rolls here.
The 1st floor u can see the AC sitting Hall, and the sitting capacity is 30-40 people.
Ordered-
Kadai Chicken- contained 6 boneless chicken pieces and the gravy was not so much spicy. Taste is great.
Butter Naan- The naan was extremely soft and for I really did not have such a soft naan earlier. Do try it once. 1 naan is sufficient for 1 person.
Laccha Paratha- Size is very small is lesser than the paratha for rolls. This is one things which I did not like..
Such a good dish..loved every bite of it.
The food over here is really good... The atmosphere is also quite good as well as the behaviour of the staffs ... It's like worth the money that you are spending... Y'all should definitely come here and try their chicken biryani

Was here on January this year to have dinner with fam. We had Chicken biriyani and Chicken tikka butter masala The portion was really good according to the price. The chicken piece was also good. Overall a great place for quick eats.
I went there with my family before the lockdown.Ambience was good.There were large place.We ordered mutton biriyani,chicken kebab,chicken chap and firni.Quantity was enough for one person.Quality was good.The kebabs was delicious.They served with the salad.The food was taste.Staffs were friendly with the customers.I really enjoyed and trip with my family.
Very good kolkata biryani. Mutton piece was succulent and tender. Ordered mutton pasinda as well. Tasted good. But mutton pieces were a bit chewy. Boti kebab (mutton) was very well cooked and tender, bit of a smoky charcoal flavour in it. Firni was good also. On vegetarian option tried the paneer gravy item which tasted good.
Food is good but not great. Service is outstanding. Restaurant is in a very good location. This restaurant is famous for locals and tourist also.

This is probably one of the oldest and best biryani places in Kolkata where you can enjoy some delicious mughlai cuisine, mouthwatering Kebabs with your friends and family members. Located at the Mallik Bazaar crossing Shiraz Golden Restaurant needs no introduction. Beautifully decorated interiors with ample seating space and courteous staffs will make your experience even better. This is my 2nd visit to this iconic Mughlai restaurant in Kolkata. Currently, Shiraz has opened many of its outlets all over Kolkata. Moreover, this restaurant serves a variety of Mughlai dishes at a good price and is well known for it's Biryani that is subtle in flavour yet flavourful in its own way followed by yummilicious kebabs that are extremely flavourful, fresh and immediately melts in your mouth. Side dishes such as butter chicken, chicken rezala, chicken chap blends well with both Biryani, tandoori roti and naan. For dessert, one can try out their phirni and Shahi tukda. Furthermore, the service was also good. In short, I feel that the only shortcoming of this restaurant is the atmosphere that needs to be improved. Overall, i had a memorable dining experience at this iconic restaurant.

We ordered Mutton biriyani and Chicken rezala. No doubt in Mutton biriyani. It's really tasty and portion wise also good. Rezala has a sour taste, not recommended at all. There are some small bugs and insects in the dining area which are not at all acceptable.
Certainly one of the best Biryani restaurants of Kolkata, a heritage establishment in terms of the number of years it has been serving the dish, the special biryani has a very good quantity with two pieces of mutton, 2 pieces of Aalu and one egg(make it two!!) good enough for a hardcore biryani lover like me, while it has the potential to suffice for 2 people too!
Good Kolkata biryani. Probably one of the best Kolkata biryani is served here. The ambience is nice. Staff are good, but a bit lazy.
Good food with efficient service, ambient can be improved but with good food there shouldn't be any complaint
