A regular of govindas. ....last 10 12 years. .... But the prices are soaring atleast the rotis could be cheaper
The taste of food was upto the mark. Nice place. Quality of food was also good.
Govinda is pure vegetarian restaurant. The theme of the restaurant is impressive, they have kept the decor very simple and a smoothing music. It’s give you great vibes. The food out there is delicious and way too filling and tempting as well.
If you want to enjoy some Pure, I repeat Pure Jain Food (no onion no garlic on any dishes)... They have two branches... One is this the other is at Minto Park... I personally found the Minto Park outlet more beautiful and dineable... This branch is not that beautiful like that one but the food here is equally good here... I had their Biryani, Noodles, Soya Keema Masala and Navaratna Naan... Each and every dishes are just awesome... It's finger licking good... Staffs are very courteous and professional... Service is really good... Pocket pinch is very very acceptable... Do give this place a try...

Its a total vegetarian restaurant.
The first thing they say as soon as you enter the restaurant is Hare Krishna ... All their utensils are of tama.
The spoons are quite big. They have a wall which has names of God ... I loved the ambience and the food..
We ordered -crispy chilli baby corn and hot & sour soup... Trust me u won't feel it's veg it tasted so good.
We packed kadai paneer, butter naan and dal makhani.. i still have the taste in my taste buds.
I will visit soon to taste their pastry and sweets.. I'm craving for them...
Well managed and descent place for authentic vegetarian/jain food. Food is prepared with care but it is not cheap. Remains usually crowded. Overall highly recommended

I loved the ambience and their cleanliness. Staff was well behaved and welcoming. The food is reasonably priced, portions are decent and taste is good.
Definitely worth a visit.
The only problem we faced was parking. We had to park quite far off, valet service is necessary here.
It is a great place to have Jain vegetarian food without onion and garlic. The food is fairly good and some dishes like crispy chilli baby corn and vegetable kofta stood out, the photographs of the same have been attached with this. Additionally this place has a great ambiance.
Full vegetarian food but of very good quality and lots of variety
Simple ambience, nothing fancy, but I love the family vibes. Ate in copper utensils after so long, it was a very fulfilling experience. Food is awesome, kudos to the chef.
Waiter had a bit of attitude due to success of place, but we enjoyed overall. Cost is a little on a higher side, but the quality is awesome. Highly recommended for a family dinner, looking for pure veg options
Nice place to have pure vegetarian food. We ordered butter nun and paneer items , dal makhani along with special veg thali. The taste was good. The service was great and very attentive. Ample parking.
I will give a 5/5 on food quality, freshness and taste. One of the best veg restaurants I ever have been to. Service is also quick and good. Atmosphere is great with large space and good theme.

This place is owned and maintained by ISKCON thus you will get Satvik food ( Veg food without garlic and onion). It is well decorated and the ambience is good as well. Though I have heard of service issue but I haven't faced anything as such. On the contrary the staffs were very well behaved. But yes it took some extra time for the food to be served. Even the food was good but it was oily. We took Pulao, Pudina Naan, Veg kohlapuri and paneer lababdar. The side dishes were oily and too some extent same in taste. But the taste was good. Ended it lunch with ice cream which I liked. To me this is a nice place but I think it's a bit overpriced.
The place is unique. As it not only serves purely vegetarian but also without onion garlic. Hence it has many people's only goto options and the food is great.
Con : The menu says, they have a special dal. We ordered it with a lot of expectation but the Dal was more of mixed veg. It was thick and had tooo many veggies, couldn't get the taste of dal.
Though we went on a Sunday evening, it was highly crowded and way too many waitings outside, service was extremely poor. It clearly seamed there were less staffs. They should have more since it is Srawan month.
Pros : Rest everything tasted just perfect. Paneer tikka, Aloo Dum, Kulcha, Papad, everything tasted sooo good.

Govinda's maybe the only Restaurant in Kolkata which prepares it's complete menu in Pure Desi Ghee. It serves a wide variety of menu ranging from South Indian to Chinese to few Italian Items and then finally Indian. The South Indian is available only upto evening 1830. All other items are available during dinner time as well. I did not taste the South Indian items as I arrived later than 1830. There were 6 varities of Pasta and similar number for Chinese Noodles. Both the items were cooked in Desi Ghee. I felt that the quantity was slightly less for the asked price. Notwithstanding, the best part of their menu was the Indian Menu. Starting from the Kulchas to Starters to Main Course Gravies everything was extremely good. The best part of the place is its warm service. Overall it is a must visit place.
