The thing which strikes most about Hondo's, is not only are the food selection great, but the prices and quantity are mind blowing.
Till now, I have ordered from Hondo's over 15 times, but still have never been to the restaurant in person. There are highs and lows of my experience with them, some of them I'll highlight
7th Feb 17 - First order. Pork Chops and Hen in the Blanket. Absolutely stunning. Succulent pork chops, with absolutely juicy fat content, and the hen in the blanket was very good too. The sausages were nicely coated with a light oily layer with cheese and the potato was delicious. Totally 5/5 experience.
Over the next few order, I've tried multiple items including Pork Ribs, Jacket Potato etc.
Sometime around late April 17 - I ordered Pork Chops (x2), Quarter Chicken, Hogged Chicken. by far the most disappointing order. The chops were really overdone and plastic-y, the bacon in the hogged chicken was too hard, and there was a queer smell from the quarter chicken. This was the first time I was introducing Hondo's to my parents, and it was just sad.
There has been 3-4 orders between this period, most of them were good, but on another occasion, I got Pork Ribs instead of the ordered Pork Chops, no big deal.
22nd May 2017 - Ordered the original hamburger with cheese and beef tenderloin steak, both for the first time. Oh god, the burger is just heavenly, has to be one of the best burgers I have had. Perfectly crispy patty on the outside, soft and fall apart insides, the sauce applied goes really well. The beef steak was pretty good, but somehow, the mashed potatoes provided surprised me. Surprisingly buttery and fluffy. Again a 5/5 experience.
25th May 2017 - Hunger strikes early morning. I wanted a burger, but it was missing from the order menu in Zomato, so I got a Non Veg Breakfast Platter. Perfectly cooked bacon, excellent eggs and crunchy hash browns. The onions were a little too peppery, but overall again a 5/5 experience.
This is just a small preview of my experience with Hondo's. All of them has been on delivery, so I don't know about their decor and hospitality as such.
I was curious to visit this culinary destination for a long time. Just happened to pamper my taste buds here after along aimless voyage. It was a busy affair at Hondo's that day with preparations for display of new menu and the gentleman at the far end corner of the restaurant, passionately coordinating everything.
Once, you step inside, the meticulously done amazing decor and the carefree ambience will take you to a multi culinary land!
Those cocktail sausages were so so so very delicious and mouthwatering.
I would just request the owners to make the seating arrangement in full operation only when it is spacious enough. Otherwise, the tiny space with the kitchen close and people sitting very close to each other might lead to an unfortunate incident.
If i want to have best beef / pork steak.. always have a tender loin steak 🥩 from hondos. Being a Bengali it's lobh ❤️❤️❤️..
Got some salad and penne pasta on a lazy day. Thoroughly enjoyed.
The place has been suggested by my brother. This was the first time when I visited Hondo's. The first thing that got me interested was the unique snail-mail system they had going on back then. The second thing, no doubt was the equally unique menu. Me and my friend loved the food and the ambience as much as the service and the sweet moments captured.
My recent visit was this September and we were equally delighted by the service and the food (if not more)
I've been a regular at Hondo's ever since it opened, ordering in when I couldn't fine in. What I love about the place is the focus on getting the food right, and eagerness to put the customer first.
I'm looking forward to my next meal from Hondo's
This is indeed well deserved. Hondo's... Hats off to you. Had burgers. Names were interesting. I opted for a Thor and my friends chose to settle for some Wolverines. Those bad boys really lived upto their names. All the burgers were juicy. Buns were fresh, meat was juicy, flavors were top notch and most importantly, it was heart filling. A big thumbs up for the pasta as well. Sauce was creamy and chicken was abundant as well. Loved the way your staffs entertained us. One of them even came up and volunteered to click a pic when we were struggling to fit in a single frame for a selfie. Really admired that. It truly was an awesome experience. LOVED the food. Keep it up.
The best burger in town! Their Wolverine Beef Burger is a gastronomical delight!
Been a regular at Hondo’s and I have never been dissatisfied by them.

Space is less but u will completely forgive and forget that because the food tastes awesome! Although i felt the price for few dishes are high in comparison to the portion they offer. One of the good things amongst many is that they click pictures of the customers with permission and then stick it to their wall where they have their other pictures of customers. This shows how important we are to them, a nice gesture. We also had white sauce pasta and it was exceptionally good.
The chef was too good. The item that i ordered was not on the menu but she prepared it anyway as it was requested and it was delish. Ambience was nice as well. But some ingredients like bacon was not available and due to which some items were unavailable. Overall a good experience. Will visit again soon.
Food quality is very good. I presonally prefer their magic toothpick recipe. If someone loves continental food, this place is a good choice for them.
Located near Jodhpur Park, Hondo's is a classic Kolkata cafe , serving a multitude of food from around the world that is sure to make you amused.
I ordered the Meat lover's Platter which had a triple egg omlette, Bacon, Salami and Sausages.
The taste was great and quantity was enough for two people.
A must visit cafe in South Kolkata to tryout some amazing food and enjoy the ambience of a classic Kolkata cafe.
Hondo's remains open 24hrs!
I visited there with friends. Surprisingly there were no other visitors then. The ambience is good, they have some good doodles in the wall .
Food-
Starters- Hogged chicken and hogged tigress. It's chicken and prawn wrapped in bacon. Tasted good. 4/5
Main course - Chicken steak and tenderloin steak (one with pepper mushroom and another honey glazed). Chicken steak tasted good , had a smoky flavour 3.8/5. Personally I felt honey glazed tenderloin steak was better than pepper mushroom. But both the steaks felt okayish, considering other good steakhouses. The steak of pepper mushroom was not medium rare I feel. It was a bit undercooked. 2.5/5
We also had triple omelette and virgin mohito. Both of them tasted good. 4/5
Hondo's is one oldie in this part of the city where you can have anything from Continental to Mediterranean and American.
The menu has all sorts of meats you can look out for. Even for vegetarians there are ample amount of options to choose from.
We had the Shephard's Pie and a couple of juicy burgers, and we went out super delighted.
I would recommend this to you couples looking, looking for a quaint secluded cafe with an amazing vast menu to relish from.
It's a pretty cute cafe, located in Jadavpur. Went there with my friend on Sunday to grab some burgers as they're famous for their burgers. This time we tried there Meaty Sandwich which contained salami and decent amount of mayonnaise along with crispy french fries and tomato ketchup and then we tried Sun Burn burger which contained Bacon, Sunny side up egg and grilled bun along with french fries and tomato ketchup. This was really tasty and filling too. Another attraction of this place is their wall art and service was also pretty. Surely recommend this place if someone loves to try wide varities of burgers!!!❤️
It's a crime that people don't visit this gem of a place much. If you're looking for authentic continental dishes then this is the place for you. Quality of the food is still the same as I first had it back in 2016 and it never deteriorated over time. This has become my go to restaurant and I always keep coming back for their pasta and burgers.
This place has an amazing ambiance.
The food is amazing and so is the service. Totally worth every penny you spend on this place.
Would love to mention about the wall arts. They give the place a very different and unique touch.
This was my first visit to this place after a friend of mine suggested. I ordered a few items like chicken sandwich , Hawaiian salad, blue lagoon, virgin mojito, pineapple pamper, blueberry mousse, mango mousse , brownie with ice-cream. I am totally in love with the food.

Nice cozy artistic vibe. We had pork chops and white chicken pasta. The taste, quality and quantity of the food is great. Definitely recommend it to everyone!
Amazing food quality! Located at Prince Anwar Shah Road, this place is one of the best places in the city if not the best, to have continental food! They have a variety of dishes in their menu, I personally love their burgers! This place deserves a 5 star rating. The staff are well behaved and polite, and the rates are pretty reasonable for the quality of food they provide.
