We visited Mae Kong last Saturday and fell in love with the place. The restaurant itself is charm personified and you feel so welcome as soon as you walk in. Coming to the food, it was hands down one of the best we've had in terms of the freshness and taste. The mapu tofu, the soba noodles, the dumplings were all simply to die for. It definitely is a must visit. Oh and yes, they don't use MSG at all, we asked and checked. WOW is the word for the entire experience.

Fantastic food and ambience!!! An absolute haven for oriental vegetarian food!!! Every dish we tried had such robust flavours and freshness in every bite! Loved the dumplings, sushi and the ramen noodle soup! The Thai basil noodles and pak choy tofu in black bean sauce are a must try!! Even our non-veg dinner companions enjoyed the food! Definitely going back again very soon!
