This place was on my list for quite sometime and finally one rainy evening, I went ahead and ordered to my heart's content. Must say, I was impressed by the sheer care with which the 3 pork burgers were packed ! While the rest of the four items - goan pork, chicken kothu paratha, thallasery mutton biryani and mutton curry were all packed in one packet, each of the 3 burgers had their own packets with wafers and tissue packed in. And rightfully so, each of these had a special tall box and were huge. Would one day dine in at the place.
This cozy place has my heart. From the warm welcoming staff to mouth watering dishes, this place is for you if you want to enjoy your food in solace or in a group and it makes you feel at home. Sambar Rice is a must order, Mutton Pepper Dry, Mahabalipuram Fish Fry are too worth ordering.
this the place where you can find authentic unique south indian recipies.. else all other eateries are confined to dosa & idlis... to know more watch the youtube video by Debojyoti Vlogs
A very colourful, well decorated cozy cafe with even an outdoor seating arrangement.I had filter coffee and brownie, both tasted good and is light to the pocket.I really loved the friendly vibes of the people who attended.
We had an amazing journey with food at Surfire The Coastal Cafe. Each of the dishes are subtly flavourful and induces a complete new experience. Thank you Ishani Priyadarshini for letting us devour in your creation.
Loved it!!! All the preparations we great, perfect ambiance to go with the cuisine, prompt service what more can you ask for. Special mention for the unique beverage they offer Kaffi Fizzy, I personally loved it but may not be to the liking of every individual. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a bright and vibrant diner serving good south indian coastal cuisine.

Visited here for dinner, though found less items on menu for non veg starters, the main course are pretty good in taste,
little high price I felt, but you would ove the ambience with soothing lights .
This place serves authentic South Indian and coastal cuisines. It is located near Mudiali Club Puja Pandal. We visited here on Navami night for dinner. We tried out:
1. Chicken special biryani (served along with a bowl of raita)
2. Porota
3. Kerala Mutton fry
The quality and the quantity of food was satisfactory. The service and the behavior of the staffs were extremely pleasant. The prices are slightly on a higher scale though.
This place serves one of the most amazing foods in Kolkata. This is an understatement. It's even better once you taste it. They have a very delicious and delectable menu from the coastal regions of India. The most welcoming and genial host makes your experience even better. All the staff are super friendly and helpful. It was a wonderful experience and they made my first puja day. I recommend everyone to give them a try and taste their delicious and beautiful experiments with food.
Never miss visiting SurFire if you want great food, good service and spotless clean and hygienic ambience in a restaurant. My favourite Appam and Tatukadda Mutton.
The place is very easy to locate. One can parking at the roadside by the store. The entire place is very neat and tidy. The behaviour of the staff are equally good. The food i tried are something unique than other mainstream Kolkata dishes. Also, the price is reasonable. I will definitely recommend it.
The hotel provided a pleasant stay with comfortable rooms and excellent service. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the amenities were top-notch. The location was convenient, making it easy to explore nearby attractions. Overall, a great experience worth recommending.
Surfire offers a whole new look into the cuisine of Southern India.!
The gentle breeze swaying past your face, the oceans stretching far away to the horizon, the tall trees and coconuts hanging up, the beckoning of coastal food hitting straight into your nostrils, there is something unusually attractive and surprising when we think of dishes outside the usual realm of Dosas and Idlis, the food down South has a lot more complexities and intricacy we usually dream of.
Surfire, one such name which has been popularising the cuisine of South Indian food, by picking up the favourites from every region and ultimately assembling them to provide the best of the dishes they could offer. Goan Chilli Chicken, one such recipe which is so much similar to the traditional Chilli Chicken we have, but yet has its own unique differentiators due to the difference in spices and it's proportion.
The Potato Tornadoes, a somewhat fusion and a popular innovative starter, is perfect for someone who loves the creamier potatoes with a layer of melted cheese on top. Appam, Chicken Chilli Cheese Appam and Ham Chilli Cheese Appam for maincourse, we paired this with Kosha Mangsho, a special dish curated and to be available this Durga Puja, the Malabar Porota surprisingly fared well and made us have a glimpse of the quintessential Paratha - Kosha Mangsho combination.
Fruit Payasam and Rava Kesari for desserts, flush all the food down with a sip of Kokum cooler or Filter Coffee for that refreshing aftertaste. A meal here will touch your heart and caress your soul and offers the perfect excuse for one to drop down, to try something different than their usual regular dal bhaat.

I stayed outside kolkata for many years and developed a palate for coastal food.I was actually craving for an outlet like this in my home city.
The menu rises well above the stereotypical idli, dosa and sambhar and offers a unique array of costal delicacies that you will find nowhere else in kolkata.
I must say the thalassiery mutton biryani they serve is undoubtedly the most unique, flavourful and addictive biryani you will find in kolkata apart from the classic kolkata mutton biriyani.
One of the unique things that you will find here is that the owner herself is actively involved in the cooking process and the staff here are knowledgeable enough to guide you about their offerings.
This place deserves love and appreciation..!!
Have always been fascinated with Coastal cuisine and this restaurant is a wonderful option for the foodies out there who wants to try something different .
Ambience is classy . service is fast . staff behaviour is wonderful . Food is delicious.
We ordered the following :
1. Goan chilli pork ( 4 / 5 ) : Great option for starter .
2. Crab Butter Garlic Sauce ( 3.5 / 5 ) : Good quality but I would prefer the crab ghee roast over this one . Butter garlic doesn’t suit compliment crab meat .
3. Thallasery chicken Biryani ( 4.5 / 5 ) : Loved it. Much recommended .
4. Fish in Mahabalipuram masala ( 4 / 5 ) : great option for fish . We took pomfret . Fish was very fresh .
5. Saffron yoghurt ( 5 / 5 ) : Simply blown away .
Please show some love to this place . This restaurant deserves more attention .
Authentic Malayali food. The servers were genuine and will guide you with your order. Ambience is very basic but hygiene and sanitation is maintained. The restaurant was completely empty on Saturday night. Although, there were a lot of parcel orders. The location is inside a colony and not well advertised
Nice place.... It is near the ravindra sarovar lake. The staff here were very friendly. They offered us complimentary chips by the time we ordered. We had rice with the Kerala chicken curry, a lemonade and bhapa doi for desert. The desert was were smooth, a must try and overall the food was decent.
After a long time had a very relaxed, refreshing & taste bud satisfactory experience
