It’s a jem of a place in that very locality. Great decor and ambience along with finger licking, delicious food. Vegetarians have abundance of options plus the nonveg food is totally A++. The bakery is on the top of the list considering the amazing cakes and desserts. Kudos to the entire team of the kitchen to bring in a great dining option in the city of joy!

Location : Near Laketown footbridge, 5-6 minutes walk from there.
This was a Non vegetarian restaurant but post management change they have become a vegetarian restaurant.
Last evening after running some errands we decided to give this restaurant a try for our evening snacks.
Sanitization and Safety : Our body temperature was checked and we were sanitized at the door step by the staff. They also sanitized the table in front of us and kept a mini sanitizer bottle on table for our use. Staff wore face shield, face mask and had a badge that displayed their last checked body temperature.
Decor : It has a classic combination of cream and copper and they maintained this theme for both their decor and crockeries.
Food : We ordered for Virgin Mojito and House special Baked potatoes with stuffing inside. Virgin mojito was very fresh and the baked potatoes were yum! They basically scooped the inside of the potato,filled it up with veggies stir fried on butter &spices and loads of cheese. Needless to say, it tasted amazing! Must have as a starter.
Staff : Very courteous staff, they were the one who suggested us to have the house special baked potatoes instead of our safe choice, crispy chili babycorn.
Pocket pinch : It's slightly on the higher side but not exorbitantly priced.
Will surely visit again.
This place is located just near the Laketown clocktower. I suppose this is the only fine dining place there with this kind of wide variety of cuisines. So i went there the decor was giving me a royal feeling and the smbience was perfect. Coming to the food, We ordered Lemon coriander soup , squid fry aka calamari, kashmiri pulao, chicken lababdar, turkish murg kabab, fish amritsari, lobster. Delicious is all i can think of. every food had its uniqueness. After that they gave us complimentary chocolate pan.

Both of them tasted very good ,the chicken especially was melt-in-mouth with a tinge of lemon
For main course ,ordered spaghetti with grilled prawn in saffron sauce
While Hyderadi pulao
Fish do pyaza
The spaghetti was creamy and the grilled prawn put a nice contrast to it ,balancing it out
It was quite rich and filling and with little prawns too
I didn't like the hyderabadi pulao , to me it didn't taste like anything to be called hyderabadi or anything other than simple pulao
The fish do pyaza on the other hand consisted of a very rich tasty gravy with soft pieces of fish
The pans at the end were also quite good
The ambience is nothing loud and is quite soothing
The prices are high is the only big problem
Because it came out to be almost 1600 for 2
Otherwise it's nice enough
The best restaurant on Lake Town area, according to me.

Today we had lunch at this place. Good food. We had Murg malai tikka. It was nice soft. Then mutton biryani. The mutton was really very soft . Very tasteful. Along with the same we took chicken laknovi. They made it boneless for us. Very tasty. Perfect for the Indian taste buds. I am a genuine reviewer. Trust and go. Yes the price is slightly high may be 20%.
Being a 4 star restaurant, I had high expectations, and safe to say they met every one of them. Ordered a plate of Drums of Heaven (which was amazing), naan and chicken butter masala. I couldn't say I could find a single flaw other than the fact they gave us more of everything, the chicken pieces were huge and even the naans were done perfectly. The staff was very helpful and made sure we had the best time. Would definitely visit again

A new place. But it is good in decor and design and style. There are many options in the menu. However, food is expensive, and quantity is comparatively less. The place does target sophisticated crowd. Hence, perhaps the cost. The food tastes good. Though not exceptionally great. We ordered baked fish. Taste was pretty good. But expected a quicker service. Good place. It's a new place so everything seemed clean and tidy. The people were extremely well behaved. The taste and quantity of food can be made better. The place is very good, great atmosphere with delicious food. Although they only serve veg dishes, they have a great variety of food. Great place to stop by while travelling.
Yesterday I was here. I visited there with one of my very close friend, we enjoyed the atmosphere very much. Though I'm a hardcore nonveg I could not feel that I was eating paneer pizza.The taste was Awsome. The lobby is decorated like a five star restaurant. The staffs are very well behaved

I recently attended the Hilsa Festival organized by The Kitchen - Lake Town
Bengali's have always shared an eternal bond with Hilsa, me being no exception.
There is around 10-12 Hilsa delicacies that you can gorge on here and you won't be disappointed with any. All the dishes have been prepared with utmost expertise and to perfection.
Lets take a look at what all is being served.
1) SMOKY MOONG DAL ILISH MACHER MATHA DIA (350 bucks) - Who doesn't love Ilish Macher Matha diye Moong dal. A very flavorful dal preparation with the head of Hilsa is a compulsion in Bangali houses this season.
2) TRADITIONAL MURI GHONTO WITH HEAD OF HILSA (375 bucks) - Muri Ghonto prepared again with the head of Hilsa. The spices have blended so well with the dish that the taste is heavenly.
3) INDIAN SPICES RUBBED FRIED HILSA (475 bucks) - Fried Hilsa (Ilish mach Bhaja) is a typical bliss. The oil in which it is fried is also consumed with rice. Ilish mach has been marinated with spices and deep fried in Sorshe-Tel.
4) ILISH MACHER BHAPA LAU PATA DIYE (535 bucks) - The heavenly Hilsa Bhapa is a must try in this place. The fish has been baked with Sorshe Narkol paste in Lau Pata.
5) POSTO DIA ILISH(545 bucks) - Here the curry has been made with lots of posto bata. Posto is a favorite and when it is used in making Hilsa gravy the taste is blissful.
6) DOI DIA ILISH CURRY (535 bucks) - Typical Ilish curry made with Doi and tastes good.
7) SHORSHE NARKEL BATA DIA ILISH MACHER JHOL (529 bucks) - An all time favourite. Hilsa cooked in thick gravy of Sorshe Narkel which is heavenly.
8) ILISHER JHOL ALOO BEGUN DIA (539 bucks) - The less spicy Ilish gravy prepared with Aloo and Begun.
9) AAM SORSHE ILISH (549 bucks) - Ilish gravy prepared in Sorshe gravy with the flavor of Aam is a new dish which is a must try again.
10) BORA DIYE ILISH MACHER TEL JHAL (525 bucks) - This is my favorite from all the dishes. Lots of Ilish Dim (eggs) have been used to prepare this dish. It is a spicy dish with Ilish eggs as well as Dim wall Ilish pieces.
11) ILISH MACH DIYE BANGLADESHI KHICHURI (450 bucks) - Khichuri prepared with the head of Hilsa in pure Sorshe tel. The aroma of the Khichuri and its taste is breath taking.
12) ILISHER BIRIYANI (499 bucks) - The taste is just so good. A highly recommended dish from my side.
13) CHOCOLATE PHUCHKA -Phuchkas coated with Belgian Chocolate both from inside and ouside. Cream is stuffed inside the Phuchka and served with Chocolate sauce. This is just breathtaking and no-one should give this a miss.
We were also served Chocolate Pan and there couldn't have been a better way to end this sumptuous meal.
Rush to this place and gorge into these Ilish delicacies.
Awesome... Words are less to describe it better. Nice cozy ambience. Very helpful and nice service by the butler and the waiter. Reasonable pricing. Great and mouth watering tasty food. At the end they served us Pan as mouth freshner. Coated with chocolate and sweet beads. A 10 star to the overall experience. Thank you The Kitchen Team. Really enjoyed being at your restaurant. The quantity of the food was also nice. With 1 plate of peas palao 2 people can have belly full.
Oh forgot to mention a soft music being played. Since its Independence week hence they had Vaande Maataram being played.
Next time I visit will surely try the chocolate phucka from the desert menu.
I like this place. It has got an attractive ambience and is good for family gatherings, friends' get togethers and couples. Very good staff behavior, and the food... Mummmaaammiyaaaaa u should get there and try it yourself.
