The best biriyani in Nagerbazar area! Very low budget and wonderful taste. Try this Biriyani, you won't be disappointed. The Biriyani is exceptionally good.
For enening snacks, it is the perfect place for all. Fish fries, kabiraji and mughlai paratha r the signature dish of them that I try. And it is too good delicious and tasty.
Pabitra Restaurant is a well know food outlet located at Shyamnagar bus stop. Hygiene may be an issue here, so takeaway or online ordering will be the best option according to my opinion.I tried their egg chicken chowmein last month and absolutely loved the taste. The chowmein was full with chicken chunks. Quantity was good enough even for a heavy eater like me. Recommended.
Environment is not so appealing but food was worth it.

Mutton egg tarka : It contains four pieces of mutton submarged in egg tarka. Tarka was just awesome in taste, muttons are well cooked and juicy inside.
Pabitra restaurant and pabitra hindu hotel are located just beside each other. Pabitra restaurant is very normal like roadside restaurant but pabitra hindu hotel is known for its mutton kasha available at night.
This restaurant is located near my home and we get mind blowing biryani here. In spite of presence of big shots like Arsalan and Aminia, they do make brisk business. Delivery time is short and price is really affordable.

Pabitra Hindu hotel is just near shyamnagar stop. It's been there since a long time, and is a popular fast food joint. It's basically a take-away counter, seating arrangement is available but not recommended , though they have renovated it recently. I have tasted their Chana Paneer, dhokar dalna, chicken curry. But it's their egg tarka really which has made me give them 4stars. The tarka that they make is the best I have tasted till date. Guys try it.

This is one of my favourite food stations... I often order foods from this place. Also like to mention that it's one of the best fast food centre in Nager Bazar area.
It is at just a stone throwing distance from my home, at Shyam Nagar bust stop, Jessore Road.
They have two branches at the same place.
1st is Pabitra Restaurant which is a small fast food centre and 2nd one is Pabitra Hotel.
Pabitra Hotel is a very old famous local Bengali hotel which serves delicious Mutton kasha, Chicken kasha, Egg tarka and Rumali Roti. They also serves various types of Bengali dishes such as Fish curry, Egg curry, Daal and fries, which are equally good in taste.
And the Pabitra restaurant is a gem I would say.
Their Rolls, Fish fry, fish fingers, Chowmein, Kobiraji everything is just marvellous... quality, quantity both are great with reasonable price.
Don't judge the place with their ambience, seating arrangements and all that, as it's just an ordinary fast food centre and not that spacious but the food they serve is tastes like heaven.
A must try thing from there is their Chicken momo which I love the most.
It's a must try place. order food or take parcel and enjoy at home.
Since my childhood, I have been a regular customer of this Hotel. It serves more than 500 customers with variety of delicious veg and non-veg dishes accompanied by Ruti/chapati or rice. Almost every items are tasty and they try their level best to maintain the food hygiene. Staffs are very friendly and helpful.
Must try ruti and egg tadka, special spicy gravy adds more taste and makes it more delicious. Additionally, a bite of onion and a green chilly, will take you in different level.
Other recipes are definitely well and you can try any of them as per your choice. Dine in is also available for 10 or 12 person, however take away is highly recommended.

I have been going to this place for ages. Egg tadka is to die for. Amazingly tasty. Mutton kasha is another item I love.
A bit oily, still tasty food is served here. The dining area was a bit congested...but it's manageable. Try the mutton kosha here.
We ordered mutton kosa and mughlai.Mughlai was average but mutton kosa was really good. The price of one mutton kosa plate was 200 in which four pieces were given. All over it was a nice restaurant and an affordable one. A good place to stop by and have a quick bite.

Food quality and quantity is very good. Don't go by the Restaurant look just test the food. One of the great biriany in kolkata I would say if you really love biryani then would recommend you must try this place out. The quantity of meat is tender and soft.
