The Lalit is one of the leading hospitality chains in India. Headquartered in New Delhi, the company opened its first hotel here in 1988 under the leadership of its Founder Chairman Mr Lalit Suri. The company offers twelve luxury Hotels, Places & Resorts and two mid-market segment hotels. The brand is celebrating the South India thali festival for a fortnight, and we were invited for a food tasting session.

Love the people here. My old friend, Eshita Desai, the Marketing Manager of this place. The Executive Chef Parimal Sawant, who runs the culinary department like a tight ship. And the Sous chef, Deepu Joseph, whose creations amazed us this evening. Chef Deepu is, in fact, so simple a person, you immediately warm up to him.

So we had an option of choosing between Malabari Thali or a Chettinad Thali. Malabari, for the uninitiated comes from Kasargod of Kerala, while Chettinad is a Tamilian cuisine.
The Malabari Thali comprised:
Sambar / Rasam / Parippu Curry (yellow moong dal)
Beans thoran (fresh beans sautéed with onion and coconut)
Malabari Fish curry (King fish in coconut milk base curry)
Mutton mappas (mutton curry with Malabari spices)
Kozi varuthathu (Deep fried dry chicken)

Awesome experience. I chose the Chettinad thali (but that didn’t stop me from grabbing a bite from the other one), and it was a visit down south. If authenticity is your inclination, there could be nothing better than this festival. The live ghazal singing adds another dollop of oomph to the overall environment. Kudos.

Baluchi specialises in North Indian food.lovely peaceful ambiance and well trained courteous staff.we went on a sunday afternoon and it was quiet full.they have set menu as well as a la carte.i went for al carte.
What i ordered
Gucchi aur mushroom galouti.:it was recommended by the server.some how i dint like it at all.it was very bland and not as per my liking.totally avoidable 2/5
Subj akhroot seekh kebab:the kebab were very tasty well cooked and accompanied by salad onion chutney which was amazing 3.5/5
Paan biryani:it is one of the best biryani i had in recent time.good fragrance and flavour of paan.really enjoyed it.portion size was good 4/5
Black daal:very yummy 4/5

Great place for non veg lovers, especially mutton. My son is a choosy eater and usually doesn't eat much whenever we go out but here he overate. For non veg did we wanted to eat mutton chops which was not in the menu but the chef came out, spoke with us and got it made as per our choice and I must say it was one of the best Chops I ate- soft, succulent, and flavorful.
Other dishes were also awesome and to top it all we got complementary dessert.
Being a restaurant in five star hotel the ambience is great. While waiting You can spend time in hotel lobby. There's live performance of Hindi songs and you make requests.
Overall a good experience and had great time.
Baluchi is probably the best restaurant at the Lalit and rightly so. Having visited the Baluchi a number of times in Delhi, I had high hopes and must say my experience at the one in Mumbai was a fulfilling one. We ordered vegetarian fare - mulligutawny shorba, subz akharot ki seekh for starters and paneer khada masala and Dal Baluchi for mains with a roti basket. The Akharot ki seekh was the highlight of the meal, loved it! While paneer is a must in the meal with my kids and was great no doubt, the Dal Baluchi was delectable! The service was warm.. The live music and the art adorning the walls makes the ambience warm and truly Indian!
Visited this place and was very impressed with the presentation, the quality, the quantity, the staff, the hygiene etc. The quality and quantity of the food was just the best! Will surely visit this place again, that too soon!

This place is great for a family lunch or dinner. Amazing ambience with very friendly staff. The food was tasty and enough in quantity. I would definitely suggest the angoori rasmalai.
I loved Dal Baluchi the most I think it's their signature dish. All other items also were good with aromatic delicious spices. Ambience is perfect.
We visited Baluchi to celebrate our anniversary. The place is very well made. Very clean and neat. The staff was very helping. Coming to food - we had ordered Akrot sheekh kabab which were really well made. In main course navratan kofta were awesome. We had really good peaceful time. Live music was very nice. Singer had a great voice.
It's just wow! The rooms are cozy and super clean, making you feel right at home. And oh, the food at Baluchi is just too good – every bite is like a flavor party! The staff is also really friendly and makes sure you have a great time. If you're looking for a comfy stay with amazing food, this place is the real deal. Full-on recommend!
As the name suggests, it houses of the modern and yet traditional dishes which makes it a well thought out decision. With the competition already high, Baluchi has been fast catching with fresh new item and highly effective staff and admin too. Tip toed for customer satisfaction.

On my last visit to Mumbai happened to dine at this wonderful place. Definitely a place to visit with family or friends. Go for the "tandoors". Nice ambience too.
