China house Lounge is back in new avatar and it’s not a nightclub any more but a conceptual transitional Lounge the signature cocktails are must try and yes not forget it’s the first jhonnie Walker Lounge of country. The bartenders are fun loving witty and trendy. The bartenders while curating the lip smacking cocktails have come up not only with stories related to prohibition era but also also the syrups or marmalade used for cocktails are home made and have also used food ingredients in the cocktails . The food is curated under the guidance of executive Chef Jeff of the hotel serving the signatures of all the restaurant. The music played by dJ adds on to the ambience This is the must try place for all the Mumbaikars

Excellent Chinese restaurant located at the Grand Hyatt hotel. The food was delicious, probably the most authentic Asian restaurant in Mumbai I have encountered so far. The home style braised eggplant I had was very yummy, as was the chicken corn soup with egg. Service was very attentive. The ambiance was lovely, very chic design, suitable for a business dinner but also for a gathering of family and friends. The layout of the restaurant created a number of intimate spaces, including booths for 4-6 people and regular tables. Recommended !

Visit 1 ( Extract ) The duck I have eaten here is the best I have eaten anywhere hitherto, and will definitely recommend it. It did take ~50 mins to bring, although the staff had quoted ~40 mins, and is available both in half ( about ideal for 1 ) & full sizes, and comes up with a couple of sauces and flatbread rolls, although it is on a dry side still. The lamb slices I had eaten were decent, too. Visit 2 ( Extract ) The pork bao, as told to me, was indeed one of the best, and so was the lamb dish, which was flavorful, medium-cooked, and delicious. I got to taste some bartender-special mocktails. The overall service was better than the previous one. Also, do try the Blue Lagoon & Shirley Temple mocktails, which were exactly what I was looking for and amongst the very best I have tried so far. Visit 3 My third visit to the restaurant began in just the fashion I would have expected it to be. The ( complimentary ) cashews on the table are simply unstoppable to eat; they are coated with some sweet layer. The second dish ( whose name I don't know ), which wasn't there on my previous visit, may look like a typical weirdly-cut radish prima facia, but it wasn't. It tasted something like 'Chinese Bhel', crispy and mildly spicy, so it is a good reminder of childhood days. However, don't mistake it for small-cut noodles made in Schezwan sauce. The staff were happy to bring in a couple of more bowls of cashews upon my request, and I really appreciate the same. The way the seats in the compartment or sided space ( or whatever that seating portion can be called ) in the restaurant have been designed is really appreciable and worth a mention. At the sides, there are a few wares. We ordered two mocktails to begin with, and all were served within 10 mins. The tropical thunder, a grape cum cranberry-based mocktail, was made as per request, with less ice and, on the less sweet side, low-power soda. Another one ( whose name I have forgotten ), which was ideally expected to have grenadine syrup as a base, didn't have one but nevertheless did taste fantastic. The sea bass et al. does deserve a mention here. It came cut in about ten pieces (above medium size quantity overall ) and had a sour taste, implying an authentic Chinese preparation. When coupled with the sauce, too, it seemed to be a good combination, the sauce having an aftertaste which was quite bitter and pungent. Other dishes in the mains we ordered included Kung Pao Chicken and Kung Pao Prawns. While the former was very good but wasn't made less spicy as requested, the latter was quite oily, medium spicy and average in taste. Both had a gingery and peppery flavour and came with many cashews. The quantity was between medium and large for both when juxtaposed to competitors. The winding up was a bummer, though. Firstly, the teaspoons ( at least that's what they claimed they were ) ideally suited for consuming the desserts were so small that even a tiny prasad spoon in the temple is bigger than them ( I have never seen this small a spoon in any restaurant hitherto ). The next size they had was a tablespoon, so it definitely wasn't worth a choice. Surprising that! The creme brulee tasted above average, the brownie cake was significantly burned and tasted bad, whilst another dish having a fancy name was nothing but corn flakes and coconut milk having sago pearls, again nothing but insipid; now that's the childhood dish I wasn't expecting or looking for. The decor is amongst the finest, as one will see ( as explained in the previous reviews ). The entrance is perhaps the best I have seen in any restaurant hitherto - a big wooden door leading to an excellent spot ( which also couples up as an outside dining area ) having some plants, small trees, small water storage/space and a bar-like dim atmosphere with a giant TV Screen, ( which keeps the camera quite busy ) which further leads to another big wooden door, and finally into the restaurant with a plethora of colourful wares on display. Update : The issue was resolved promptly and amicably by the restaurant.

China Kitchen in Hyatt Regency New Delhi is the OG restaurant, from where Peking Duck started being served in India and till date is one of , if not the best in terms of Peking Duck preparation in India. China House which is located in Grand Hyatt Mumbai and other Hyatt properties across India are the same as China Kitchen but not with the same title , just like there is only one OG Bukhara at ITC Maurya but other ITC and WelcomeHotels have Peshawari which is pretty much the same , maybe a bit cheaper. So we had just checked into Grand Hyatt and then we had to leave for some work the day we arrived in Mumbai. After completing everything we were pretty tired and even though we had plans of trying other restaurants in Mumbai we just decided to crash in and just eat at the Hotel. We were undecided if we wanted to have Chinese or Italian as both the restaurants in Grand Hyatt are very famous and award winning. Eventhough the Italian restaurant doesn't exist in Delhi we just decided to have a lighter meal for dinner so went to China House. The entry to China House is quite a walk and to reach it one has to go via the Indian restaurant which I found to be a bit peculiar. Also the Toyroom Club is located in the basement to the side of the restaurant so weekend evenings one can definitely feel the "music" . Apart from these the restaurant has a very Classic feel to it , a massive wooden door is the entrance and then one enters the chic restaurant. There are many different types of seating options like the outdoors where hookah is also served, but in the sultry Bombay it was a no go for us. Then there are private dining rooms and private areas aswell as the normal common area. We were at the side of the private area in the common seating table. Once we placed our order we were promptly brought some pickeled Vegetables and some sugar and spice coated Cashews. Both were perfect to start the meal. We just ordered 2 items which were - Chicken and Asparagus Fried Rice and Claypot Chicken with Bamboo Shoots in Chilli Sauce. The items did take a good 20+ mins to reach which is acceptable as the food was prepared fresh for sure. 1) Chicken and Asparagus Fried Rice - A good portion of fried was served in the order which is definitely a great thing especially as it's a 5 star hotel and a fine dining restaurant. The Fried rice was tasty by itself and to make it even better use one of the sauces on the side - Chilli Oil or the Sweet Chilli and Garlic Sauce. What I did personally was , I would eat one bit of the rice with my chicken , follow it with a few bites of chilli oil and finally take a small spoonful of sweet chilli sauce with the fried rice. The combination in my opinion worked wonders. 2) Claypot Chicken with Smoked Bamboo Shoots in Chilli Sauce - This was a beautifully presented dish , even more than the fried rice which ofcourse was also pretty. This was also a good portion of food and had a great mix of veggies and chicken. The chicken was very well cooked and was succulent. The sauce itself was not too spicy even when has with the chilli but did have a slight tingling kick to it. Great taste all in all. Overall we got what we expected in terms of food. Pricing obviously is decently expensive but it wasn't too bad either. Costed us 3300 for 2 dishes which was ample for 2 people. Service was just decent , nothing great. The food definitely made it worth it.

An upscale Chinese resto located at the Hyatt in Mumbai We enjoyed the food, with the garlic fried rice and chicken dumplings being our favs. Drinks were also made well. The service was outstanding, with our server checking in on us frequently to ensure our food was served and to our liking. Decor was upscale as mentioned, as it usually is for 5 star hotels.

The food and and drinks are pretty good but expensive. Service is decent as well. Sliced pork was the only thing I didn't like, felt like it was mostly cucumber. My friend loved the crab but I thought it was decent. Tiramisu was really nice and the LIIT's were awesome. Perfect ambience for a romantic dinner.
