I ate here twice during my stay, and both times were impeccable. My first visit I had fish curry and was served by Deepak, the second time I had the vegetarian thali and was served by Laxmikant. Both gentlemen were kind, considerate and attentive. I highly recommend to opt for the thali of the day, because you will have a true taste of the breadth of Indian flavor.

Delicious food and consistent quality despite the ownership change away from Taj.

The most amazing dining experience. We were served by Mr. Laxmikant and he was outstanding. His knowledge of the menu and his food recommendations were fantastic. The food- the taste and the presentation was simply fabulous and I would definitely recommend the sea food thali (go for the unlimited version). Another recommendation that I thought was fantastic was the kori ghee roast. Try the kelpulachi vade as a starter and you’ll thank me for it (actually you can thank Mr. Laxmikant 😄). The solkadi drink was refreshing too and is a perfect way to get the evening started. The icing on the cake was a surprise chocolate mousse that was presented to my niece who was celebrating her 15th birthday. The whole ritual around birthday celebration at the Konkan cafe is a spectacle in itself .. so if you are celebrating a birthday, make sure to head to konkan cafe. All in all - a terrific dining experience and I am pretty sure Ill be back the next time I am in India

An upscale take on traditional south Indian food. The place offers dishes from the entire west coast of India from konkani to Goan to malayali cuisine. Their sea food thali hits all the right notes, starting with the amazing chutneys, papads and masala filled deep fried chillis going to the mains which had a mix of coastal preparations. Their prawns in kokam garlic and fish allepey are to die for. The rassam to start your meal is the perfect level of spice with an incredible amount of flavour. Do try their feni cocktails, will transport you to goa instantly. All in all a great place, with amazing service and brilliant food. A special thanks to laxmikant who was attentive and accomodating to our requests. A place worthy of the Taj tag.

The Konkan Cafe... We took the "Konkani Thali". It was good. A bit little spicy for kids but you'll find something for them too. The best thing was the brass utensils, from plates, spoons to the लौटा made of brass is offered for dinning in. To satiate our sweet tooth, we loved Jalebis... Ambience and interiors are unquestionably beautiful at the Taj.

Recently I visited The Konkan Cafe for dinner along with my sister. Ambience of the restaurant is just perfect to enjoy a romantic date or meal with your family. It is designed like a traditional open house of South India. They play melodic Carnatic music which is very soothing to hear 🎶 They have stars on the ceiling to give you the exact feel of sky lit nights. It comes with a comfortable seating area, with intricate design all over the place, using high quality wood or stone platforms and soft cushions 😍 The utensils used here are made of panchdhatu. It is an alloy of 5 Metals gold, silver, copper, iron and zinc. We were invited to experience the new specially curated comfort food menu which brings flavours from the 5 states of South India 😋 All the food items were divine and suggested by their head chef Mr. Vikas 😍 Here’s what we tried - Coolers/beverages- • Buttermilk • Solkadhi: made from coconut milk & kokum. Comfort food menu- • Kovil Idly: Pepper & ginger spiced idly, made temple style. • Kanjivaram uttapam: rice pancakes with onion, peanut, coriander and kanjivaram masala. • Paniyaram Vadai: grilled fermented rice and split black lentil dumpling • Navadhanya Dosai: nutritious multigrain rice crepes • Thair Idly: Idly with sweet and sour chilled curd. Condiments- White coconut chutney, red onion chutney, til oil/jinjil, gunpowder/molgapodi served with piping hot Sambar. Appetisers- Guntur chilli mushroom: fresh mushrooms tossed with guntur chilli Baby corn miriyalu: crispy baby corn tossed in freshly grounded spices Main course - Appam Neer dosa Kolam Pattani: corn & green peas cooked in chettinad style. Desserts- Jalebi Elaneer payasam: a cold dessert with tender coconut and jaggery. Overall my experience here was wonderful. Food is very flavourful and soul-satisfying <3 Special thanks to Ms. Amruta, Mr. Laxmikant and Mr. Anil from staff.

Tasty Konkan/Coastal South Indian cuisine. Courteous, friendly and experienced waiters made this meal even more memorable and smooth. I highly recommend going for a ‘thali’ which is a large plate of mixed dishes (almost like a kitchen-to-table all you can eat buffet). There are 3 thali’s- veg, non-veg and seafood. We got the seafood thali and the non-veg thali. The seafood thali includes a spread of unlimited fish curries, prawn curry, rice, beetroot salad, fried fish and two kinds of South Indian breads. The non-veg thali has a mutton curry, 2 types of chicken curries and the usual rice, bread, salad etc. The dessert is part of the thali too- the kulfi and the jalebi. Both are stunning!

Ambience was great, some food items were excellent. The lotus root appetizer and the chicken ghee roast were amazing, so was the lamb stew with appams. The lobster was a little disappointing, it was too spicy which masked the taste of the lobster itself, and it just tasted like generic seafood. House cocktail made of sugarcane juice was good too.

Yesterday we had gone for dinner. Wow...That's the word for the superlative Seafood we had at the Konkan Cafe. Truly, it did live upto it's reputation. The perch fish, the butter garlic prawns, the kerala fish curry, the sol kadi, the rassam everything was amazing. Thanks Chef Vikas, Chef Bhajirao & the entire team of The Konkan Cafe. A must visit for a True Seafood Lover 😀👍👍👍👍😀
