One of the favourite places when it comes to sweets. Their Malai Khaja and pedas are favourites. Tried their dining during ramadan too. The food overall is good but a bit mild in spices and a note up on the sweeter side. The bheja fry and baida roti were very good. The malai tikka, not so good as it had too much of mayo and sweteness. The phirnis are good too here and the malpua is a must try. Pricing is slightly high. Portion size is decent. Atmosphere - 4/5 Speed of service - 3/5 Product Quality/ Presentation - 4.5/5 Taste - 4.5/5 Portion Size - 3.5/5 Value for money - 3.5/5

I visited this place during Ramadan and was blown away by the exceptional quality of the food, which was not only delicious but also pocket-friendly. The service and the hygiene standards were good. For non-veg lovers, this place is an absolute treat! One thing that I must recommend is trying their amazing sweets. The Malapua with rabadi is a must-try, as it is a perfect blend of sweetness and creaminess. Another delectable dessert that you should not miss is the Malai Kahaja, which is a heavenly combination of flaky pastry and rich cream. Finally, the Ferni is a fantastic way to end your meal, as it is a refreshing and light dessert that is perfect for the hot summer days. Overall, this place is a must-visit for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience!

Shabbir's Tawakkal sweets is a very old sweet shop in Bohri Mohalla Bhendi Bazaar area in Mumbai. This shop gains immense popularity in recent few years. Now a days Shabbir's Tawakkal Sweets become a landmark in entire Bhendi Bazaar and Bohri Mohalla. In Ramzan time so many celebrities visiting the shop for some amazing sweets and food. Recently I also got a chance to visit this legendary shop in Ramzan, I tried their oldest and most famous sweet the Mango Malai and seriously it was addictive I'm totally in love with their Mango Malai. After that i tried their Ramzan only speciality Malpua. It was crispy on the edges and very soft and fluffy from the middle. Next I tried their Chicken Baida Roti, this shop is not famous for Baida Roti because they make it in Ramzan only but for my surprise the Baida Roti was outstanding, even I don't get that taste at some big restaurants famous for Baida Roti. So overall it was a great amazing experience at Shabbir's Tawakkal sweets now this shop becomes my must go place when ever I visit Mumbai. Special note : During Ramzan this shop remains heavily crowded so you have to wait for 15-20 minutes for your turn.

Tawwakkal sweets one of the famous eatry joints. Try their malai khaja One of the bestest in the town. Hot malapua is mouth watering and tempting. Tried their bhuna roll , baida roti and chicken roll every thing had same fill that was disappointing. And tasted the same . But liked their Naan chicken

I hav travelled the world but I have never had better desserts than Shabir’s. The sweets and the food here are extra ordinary. A must visit place for anyone who is looking for sweets and food. I love the fact that they have sugar free sweets and vegan food as well.

Thank you for taking the time to show two tourists around. The hospitality was great. Every sweet we ate was very fresh. Looking forward to coming back some day. Don't miss the Walnut Halwa or the fresh Jalebi here.

This Ramadan season I and my friend found a very good alternative to Mohammad Ali road. Shabbir’s Tawakkal at Bhendi Bazar nearby is the must visit place. The roads are bit wider compared to Mohammad Ali road so it feels less crowded. Also the food is really amazing. We tried Chicken baida roti, Kalimiri Kebab, Chicken Sheekh, bheja masala with nan, Malai Kebab. In sweets we also tried Egg Malpua and Phirni. The best part was that all the food and sweets are available at one place and you need not roam around at multiple shops for each food item. Also the hygiene is too good and the service is also quick even during the Ramadan days. Also lately it has become a hub of all the celebrities for gorging on the amazing food served here. If you miss this place then you are definitely missing something major in your life.

Visited during Ramadan .. One of the place which is cleaner, quieter and you get to sit in AC and enjoy your food. Food taste was good but was on costlier side.

One of the best place to have sweets in Mumbai. My personal favourite is malai sweet dishes. Reaching out here by four wheeler is a task as one has to travel via Mohammad Ali road and you cannot find parking.
