Mylari dose is famous shop at namma Mysore
We need to wait in long qeue for to get BISI bisi mylari special dose..
Palya given with dose ,is a showstealer..
Green in colour tastes Amazing in very bite.. staffs are friendly..
Although my friends though it was overhyped..but i like it..
Went on foodie spree to try out this much hyped Masala dosa of Mylari. Not to be surprised, had to wait in the queue not knowing how long the wait would be. As all of us were desperate for food after an early start. Fortunately we didn't have to wait long. Basic infrastructure, we tried the Masala dosa. I should definitely credit the crunchy outer and soft inner dosa with a different type of filling. The coconut chutney was good. Ofcourse wrapped up with the aromatic coffee. Sure a try for a foodie.
The softest and the best dosa ever. This place was small but the stuff was just too good. The dosa with a dash of home butter and a very different kind of vegetables stuffing was just amazing. The idlis were super soft with the most flavour some coconut chutney. Early morning surprise breakfast in Mysuru.
Probably the best place to have breakfast in Mysore. Had Sagu masala dose with butter and its one of the best I’ve tasted. The idlis, served with butter and chutney was one of the best. The idlis itself were as soft and smooth as butter. Service was good and no doubt this has been one of the best in Mysore
The yummiest dosa I had in Mysore.... This place is recommended both for the residents of Mysore and also for those who are travelling via Mysore to diff place... This budget friendly outlet serves hot crispy dosas with chutney. The must try thing here is their Masala Dosa.... #dosa #foodie
I felt this place was over hyped by the reviews but trust me this is the best place to have masala dosa when you’re in South India.
They have only one item in the menu which shows their confidence in serving the best.It cost 45₹ with butter on it and the soft dosa with spicy masala in it.
If you’re in mysore, this is one of those places to visit after mysore palace
Very simple hotel and the service is very quick the butter dosa served is so tasty was able to eat back to back three dosa”s. Very economical. 👍👍
I was here on dasara season and we'll I was pretty impressed by the dosa they served, I will be happy to visit this place again when I come again to Mysore.
It's a small place. That authentic feeling of the place feels good old days of the place.
Peace
If you want a very unique and different taste from the dosas you have had before , then this is the place.
Order the masala dosas which come with a sort of green palya with onions instead of the traditional aloo palya
The food is mild ( not in a bad way and pleasant - comfort food )
Coffee is strong and with good flavour with just the right mixture.
5 dosas and a coffee came to 210rs
Ambiance was must to be desired but trust me that you will overlook it completely with the soft melt in your mouth dosas
Overall would definitely go again
Was looking for authentic Mysore Dosa ans able to google this place. We found this place with great difficulty though it is in city.Very small place and home made dosa available .Authentic food lovers should explore this place
Vinayaka Mylari Restaurant in Mysore offers delicious food, with soft idly and butter dosa being standout highlights. The reasonable prices make it a tempting stop. However, the place is quite congested, requiring a wait outside for entry, and finding parking can be challenging. Despite these minor inconveniences, the restaurant's long-standing presence since 1938 attests to its enduring popularity. It's a worthwhile choice if you happen to be passing through the area, especially for the delightful flavors of their iconic idly and dosa.
Great news Mysoreans-Mylarians
Old original Vinayaka Mylari hotel since 1938, is now available also in a new modern premise just 2 buildings away from previous one so more people being served in fresh new feel and the very same menu
Mylari Masal dosai
Mylari plain Dosai
Idli
Coffee
They are expanding to JP nagar, indiranagar etc and need premises. Interested people contact
They have 3 car parking, however, the road is so busy, and boxing is quite common.
Personally i am not fan of too much of cinnamon in their dosai. But superlative chutney, non stop refills. Even with additional premise, getting seats is tough. I loved idli too
We thought new hotel dosai was little dark, but after visiting old place and confirming it is common to see few have both sides white, few are darker brown or blackish brown based on where in the dosa-counter they are placed
All must visit this tradition of Mysore ASAP
Very Very unique soft and crispy dosae.. we can alongside with their butter, it's heaven..
Combination to coconut chutney gives an additional flavor to it... Very lite on stomach..
Restaurant serving since 1938.
Dosa and idlis are the highlights here. I really liked dosa because of its texture and taste. It is a great place for breakfast and not other meals because of the portion size and also it won't be that filling.
You don't get many options for the food. Even filter coffee was okayish.
Overall I personally felt an overrated restaurant hyped majorly.
Since this restaurant has seen decades, its worth going once to enjoy the vibe.
This is one of the authentic dosa place on the road of Mysore. The butter on the top makes it taste so delicious. The texture is very crispy. I have never had this kind of tasty dosa in my life.
It is always very crowded for its exquisite taste. The price is very nominal.
One dosa lover must visit this place. This is almost a historical place as it’s established almost 50 years ago and still exists potentially serving one of the most famous dosa.
Mylari Dosa is one of the most famous hotels in Mysore, established in 1938 in the Agrahara area near Nazarabad Police station. Famous for its dosas. They have a price tag of Rs.55 per dosa. You can have a variety of doasas. Recently a new branch has been opened adjacent to the old shop. A must visit to all dosa lovers who visit Mysore.
Imagine a dosa. Now imagine a pile of soft dosas. Now imagine the softest dosas to ever exist served with a big dollop of white butter on top. I'm talking about the Mylari Dosa, Mysores favourite dish found in a humble restaurant.
Hotel Vinayak Mylari, despite its name, is anything but. Rather, it is a cosy six-table eatery with a total of up to five items on its menu. Let that not underwhelm you, because each of these dishes is packed with a punch. This includes the Mylari dosa, Masala Dosa and idli (with no sambhar) and if one isn&rsquot in luck, are often sold out by evening
This was my second visit to this place. I had been to this place years ago with friends. The place still looks the same but the crowd has increased a lot. As I went in the early morning I could get a seat. Staffs are so friendly and they try all their best to make service faster despite of the crowd. Their dosa is definitely a must try.
I appreciate the people to maintain the place with the authenticity not changing anything even after so much fame. That’s what make this place so special.
People says the place is overhyped just because the place is crowded and not a luxury one. Those people are just meant to go to cosy place and eat fancy foods. If you are a foodie then just ignore those reviews or comments and go eat some dosas there.
One of the most unique dosEs. Fluffy and soft like a cloud. I have visited this place a few times over the last 5-6 years. Every single time, the taste has been the same and it has been consistently excellent. They have a few other items on the menu as well but the mylari dosE is their signature and is one of the unique offerings in the country. It comes with chutney, sagu and a dollop of butter. A must try if you're in Mysuru!
It's one of the best Bene Madala Dose available in Mysore. Dosa here has a different texture - combination of crispy and spongy. They don't serve alodage palya, infact they have onion palaya which gives an extra flavour to it. Overall loved the place.
