The service was good. Tomato soup is better than any other soup available here. I suggest to try kulcha which was good. Best selling are visible bath , butter masala dosa , bonda sambar. Rava dosa was ok ok. U don't get rice in North Indian thali .need to order separately
Highly recommended restaurant 👌
Little pricey, but taste makes it worth it.
If you are travelling, then this is the best restaurant to have your food..
My Fav are : Masala Dosa, Poori Sagu and Gobi Manchurian👍
Very nice restaurant, quite
popular in Mysore. I have been a
frequent visitor, dropping by
almost every time I pass
through Mysore. This time
have to settle down for
executive meals and
chandrahaar since the bisibele
bath and basundi I wanted were
sold out! Sumptuous meals, no
complaint really! The classical
chandrahaar sweet was as good
as earlier ...
The place gets extremely crowded during lunch. Hence it is highly advisable to go a little early. Their South Indian thali is good. They also serve the best Bisse bile bath in the town. Service is quick and efficient.
Had been to this place based on reviews on Zomato....the place and food lived upto the expectations. The quality of food is very good. The price for meals is Rs. 70 and is definitely value for money. We went there twice. The second time, chapatis were over... So they provided with an additional cup of rice, which is appreciable. Tiffin items (bonda-soup) was also good. The only thing we didn't like was standing by the tables waiting for others to finish eating so that we can sit. This is a bit awkward. But overall the quality of food and the price is very good. Must visit place for lunch (meals). It is simple food with good taste.

One of the best taste I got in mysore😍
Ambience ❤
Tasted North Indian thali. It was very good. I will suggest this hotel if u are searching for veg hotels in Mysore
Best benne masale dosa of Mysore.. never parcel .. enjoy and relish the hot food right at the restaurant. The cripness goes off when parceled. Love panner manchuri also.
Awesome food and good food nice service fresh ingredients are used taste is delicious may it be for meals on lunch or the breakfast yummy food
When you visit Mysore this is one of must to go place it's a hunger killer place....👍👍🤤😍😋
It's a good place for super south indian food. The advantage of this restaurant is that till 10 pm night you can get south indian food, including meals. Also it's cheap and a good family place. Other cuisines like Chinese and North indian are not upto the mark, but tolerable. Overall a place for south indian foodie.
One of the best hotel for food in Mysore.
Breakfast is fantastic, lunch is simple and the evening snacks is good.
Have been visiting this place for more than 8 years , the quality and taste is fantastic.
The set masala dose , Upma, set dosa is fantastic. The sambar is yummy.
Do enjoy it here. Pls like this review.
Mahesh Prasad is not just a hotel - It's an emotion for me! Been having food here since 2002 - 20+ years now, and everything is the same!
One of the best places for South Indian breakfast in Mysore. Love the crispy Vada, Set Masala dosa and Poori. Surprisingly, their North Indian tastes amazing too - Cutlet is my all time favorite.
During peak times in the morning / evening and on weekends, you'll have to wait a bit since it gets crowded. There's nobody managing the waiting list, so you'll have to find the next empty table yourself - this may be an awkward experience for first timers :)
It's great for sure, Numbers of items available. Clean and tasty at an affordable price, good parking space, good atmosphere, it actually deserves a 5 star no doubt. But the reason for 4 stars is it's too crowded we need to wait for seats (if the taste is good, yup it's gonna be crowded). Might be a good idea to avoid weekends. Other than that everything is fantastic.
Recommended - Big Puri :-)
This place is without a doubt one of the best Vegetarian restaurants in the city. We tried their South Indian meals and vadas, yum! So fresh, so filling and so many options on the menu as well. It's neat and clean, buzzing with people on Sundays for sure, there is parking on the road, it's not always available though. Each thali was Rs. 95 only, absolute value for money.
Food - 4/5
Service - 4/5
Ambience - 4/5
Value for money - 5/5
Amazing old world charm and excellent food - no wonder it's one of the highly recommended authentic south indian restaurant in Mysore.
What amazed us was that even the North Indian Dal Tadka & Rice was also so very authentic.
Benne Dosa is pure gastric indulgence !
Only limitation is that it houses table for 4 only so if you are going in larger group, you need to dine separate
Must try - Benne Dosa, Bonda Soup, Coffee, Thatte idli.
The masala dosa was very good ,the palya and the chutney was also good the sambar was a bit sweetish to me I loved the dosa batter ,not very crispy that's how it should be ,not oily no thupa , enjoyed it
An old place to have south indian food. Afternoon only meals - south indian, executive (north Indian - w/ tandoori roti), bissibelle bhat, and veg rice.
They serve 2 type of sweet too - that is very traditional to this place. They both were good.
This place gets very crowded after 1 PM - lunch (meals) time. Keep in mind, one needs to wait for 15-20 mins and find a table yourself. No queues or numbering for wait listed.
Mahesh Prasad is a veg restaurant. If u love South Indian food then u must try this restaurant. I ordered a bisi bele bath which was fab. Their Kesari bath is a must try for dessert lovers I loved it. I also ordered Poori which was served with coconut chutney and saggu. Service was good.It was affordable.
Have visited this place twice and both the times for lunch.
Ambience - It is a very simple restaurant which is light on the pocket so nothing great about the ambience. It is quiet a big place which can accommodate more than 50 people. The main thing worth mentioning is that it is a very clean and hygenic place. They have washrooms as well which is well maintained unlike other small Darshinis.
Service - Whatever you order it will be served in 5 min even when the place is full. The Staff is attentive but not very polite.
Food - There was only rice dishes during lunch, breakfast items like Dosas are not available in the lunch time. In our 1st visit we had a South-Indian meal and Bibelebath, in the 2nd visit we had South-Indian meal, Pulao and Basundi.
South-Indian Meal - Consists of 1 chapathi, pickle, dry vegetable fry, vegetable curry, a bowl of rice, rasam, sambar, curds, buttermilk, sweet and a papad. Everything was good but the sagu was average. It is filling for 1 person.
Bisibelebath - I am a Bisibelebath fan but I did not like it even a bit here. It had too much unwanted masala and was spicy.
Pulao - It with a cup of Raitha. Again this also had too much masala which was unnecessary and it was oily. It had some deep fried bread crumbs along with vegetables.
Basundi - The best dish I have had here. The quantity was also good.
If you are here for lunch then please just have a meal, Bisibelebath and Palao is a big NO also don't miss Basundi for dessert. I'm definitely visiting this place for breakfast to try their famous Masala Dose!
Had a Good experience in this hotel.
Ambience is good, Service is too good.
Food part having simple menu with decent taste.
Must try:
1 - Benne Masala Dose
2 - Poori Sagu
3 - Tea : Must
