Sea food was awesome. Really enjoyed the food.
We were excited to try this highly rated restaurant and hence went for an early dinner to Fishaurant. The restaurant is clean and hygienic with an open kitchen behind the glass. We were well attended by Mr Surya and his team. We asked for their speciality and experimented on the Leatherjacket fish as per Mr Surya's suggestion. Being from Mumbai, we have tried variety of fishes but this fish was one of the best we have ever had! The texture was buttery and it was deliciously grilled to retain all the juices. You can rely on Mr Surya's honest recommendations to suit your taste. We also tried the fish curry which pleased our taste buds as well. In the end, you can make your own Pan with all the ingredients kept at the counter :)
Overall, a definite recommendation if you are looking for a seafood feast in Pondicherry!

The owner or main captain of the restaurant looks to be an expert chef(either in a star hotel or cruise) and had made the fish perfect. However grill prawns were a little disappointment, but overall enjoy the fish. And would highly recommend people to visit this place. They also show you fish before cooking and one must request for the best fresh ones.
You will feel elated as soOn as you step into this place. They have a wide variety of sea foods (even oyester). Ghee Rice is too yummy with Squid Masala and Prawn Gravy. We tried Fish fry which was mouthwatering. Ilanir Paayasam is their signature dish and I recommend not to miss it. Price is nominal , Quality and Quantity served will justify the bugs you pay. Above all, they serve your orders very fast. Must try if you are a fan of sea foods.
This place is a pure gem. Please visit of you love fish. Most recommended. We had special lunch with different kinds of fish fries, curries and crabs. Also included white rice and a typical super tasty biryani type flavoured rice. Overall loved the place and shall definitely visit again.
Best place for fish food lovers...we came from Hyderabad and tried the Jumbo pack which costed around 1900/- for 4 members.
We received variety of fish recipe and we loved. Most excited part is eating a crab 🦀 for the first time was so satisfying.
Taste and Ambiance too good but the local is in colony not on the main road that's the only problem.
Visited after reading very good reviews. And the place definitely deserves it, my partner rarely eats sea food, so the owner helped us select the right dish. And the service is fast and the food is absolutely delicious. The place is a hidden gem for seafood lovers. And the prices are also reasonable. Definitely recommend.
Its a very cool place to eat. The service was good. Staff were polite and friendly. The food was delicious. The kitchen can be seen from the outside and everything looked clean and hygienic. Would strongly recommend for moderate budget dine in. Have a good eating.
I would have missed the delicacies after watching a few pre planned negative reviews. This is a must go place for nin vegetarians in Puducherry. The owner here is a very humble person who suggests dishes based on our interests and number of people. The taste is very good and the price is too reasonable. After having food once, we went once again for the next day's lunch.

The feeling when you are treated as a guest to home and served with the best delicacies made of the hands of the mother , this is exactly how was the feeling in my heart when I ate every bite and also when I left the restaurant. Yummy!! Beautiful flavors, fresh sea fish, prawns, crabs, squids etc. to top it all my most favorite dish was coconut rice, rich aroma of coconut in rice!
Thanks to the restaurant folks who made our experience truly memorable , giving us one more reason to visit Pondicherry more often 😊
A great find situated on the by lanes of pondicherry and you can easily miss it but it was recommended by a local here and I arrived to explore the food. The prawns pops was really tasty and the chicken thali was quite good too. I had a goli soda here reminded me of my childhood.

One of the best sea food restaurant in town. Their special lunch meal and mini prawn platter was the best. Elaneer payasam in the end was just cherry on cake. Highly recommended for sea food lovers.
