Crab lollipop is really good. Not much oil used. That's the best part. Fried rice also didn't have much oil. Homely and reasonable. Fries are good
If you are looking for good North Indian food after visiting Auroville, you can trust this place.
We ordered Dal, Paneer butter masala, chole, fresh fruit juice and chappati. The dal was finger licking good. The paneer butter masala was not good.
The juice and entire food is prepared right in front of you by the husband and wife who run this place. So, reset assured that your tummy if getting fresh food.
The service of this place is very slow since they don't have additional staff. But, overall, it's a nice place and the couple running this place is very courteous.
I had my apprehensions when I went in but they were gone when I tasted their food. I had the tawa fried fish, fish fingers, and chicken curry. All of them were really fresh and one could experience the spices of the south.
Had fish curry and fish fry here . Both were delicious and made in authentic south Indian style. The open ambience is spacious and relaxing
The person who owns the restaurant is very welcoming and good to talk to. The food is great. The juices are excellent too. You'd get great food at a very decent cost. I highly recommend this restaurant.
When you have ten tables and one lady alone to serve and clean up, you are inviting trouble. The place is infested with flies, has a filthy washroom and the dining table mats are stained and unclean. Their prices are pocket friendly and the food isn't great but isn't bad. We had meals, salads, some refreshers and dosas. Overall an average restaurant to dine in.
Simple place but enough option.. East on the wallet.. Service not that great considering only a couple runs it but is more than made up by effort and dedication in their food.. We had dosas prawn curry rice.. All thumbs up

We stumbled across this place while on a walk to auro beach and were very pleasantly surprised to find extremely sweet hosts, nice quaint garden, tasty food, extremely good value for money.

We were here on 27th Jan, 18.we ordered Golden prawn (special for the day), Mushroom fried rice & Veg fried rice. The food quality and quantity for 2 was sufficient and economical. The place has a uniqueness in terms of taste. If you are a North Indian, try this place. The spices of North seems pervasive here.
Delicious food 😋 with fare price and nice ambience. Had chicken fry chicken curry and chapati was awesome, fresh and tender chicken used and staff was very friendly. Not like a building type typical restaurant, like an open place, homely feeling.

Really nice place to eat, has good and delicious Indian food to eat, we had mushroom curry and cheese dosa and it was really good, the soda it's not that expensive so that's pretty good and the service is okay, not fast but kot slow either, totally would go back.
Finest place to have good food with good taste and decent price. Only husband and wife run this restaurant. They provide good care and service. Only thing is that they prepare everything freshly aonot takes more time to serve. Nearly they take one hour or more to prepare dishes. We ordered, Prawn gravy rice, Fish gravy rice, Chapati with egg gravy, Chicken road, soup , for all these they good more time but worth spending time for the taste they provide

Pasta with white sauce was the shows topper... Every piece of pasta was filled with creamy sauce...Absolutely absolutely loved it!!!!
Apart from that we ordered veg rice which was also very good...Interestingly it had pepper taste..Which was so different...Loved it!!!
It is reasonably priced...You can eat a lot of good food without burning a hole in your pocket :D
The only only con is the waiting time...It took 40mins to get our order...
The reason is because they were freshly preparing everything.... I saw it myself..
And the wait was totally worth it :)

It doesn't matter in which part of Pondicherry you are staying, this is a must visit place for lunch/ dinner. Food was absolutely delicious to say the least, quantity was very good, service was prompt and most importantly worth the money.
