Serene and clean water. One must visit it early morning as it is also a sunrise point. It’s calm and the beach is clean. It’s also good for a morning walk along the promenade. It’s very close to the French colony. One can walk down there.
It's a clean beach and highly recommended. The view from the stone pier is nice. Various water sports available including surfing. The only disappointment is it doesn't have a shower room. So keep that in mind before getting in the sea water(seabird hotel provides a bath facility nearby).
Serenity Beach promotes surfing, if you are a Surfer you can have a bit of experience. You will find a lot of fishermen around. Many fishing boats are stalled here and they go out fishing mostly at sunrise. Morning there is a fish market, u will able to see variety of fishes.
Good beach to go.

One out of the many beaches of Pondicherry. This beach lies right in between the rock/promenade beach which is very close to the Pondicherry town and the Auroville beach which is close to the Auroville township.
The beach is quite clean, and has a decent number of people visiting it even on weekends. It's not too crowded which makes it better. The path to enter the beach is a bit narrow, so be careful while entering or parking the 4 wheelers.
You will find a lot of fishermen around. Many fishing boats are stalled here and they go out fishing mostly at sunrise. Speaking of sunrise, you wouldn't want to miss the sunrise from this beach. It's a spectacular view and an extremely calming experience. You can also chill and relax at the beach, take a swim. It's pretty safe for swimming and surfing. The best time to do it would be early morning or during sunset. The beach closes at 6pm. You wouldn't find many shops around. There are also a few surfing schools here, so you can learn surfing if you are interested.
We also did swimming here in the evening and it was great. The water is not totally clean but better than a lot of other beaches in India. There are also a couple of rock lined structures along the beach which you can hop onto and get amazing views of the beach or just sit and relax. Be careful not to slip and tumble down into the sea.
Just as the name goes! A srene beach!! A perfect one to witness the sun rising scattering it’s trillion shards of rays over the sky! After the sunrise you could actually witness a pretty blue sky. In case your a dog lover, there are friendly doggos in and around the beach just chilling all by themselves. It is indeed a place to calm & soothe your mind!! Do visit next time when your in pondy. But it’s a bit too far and very much inside the inner part of housing area when compared to the main beaches of pondy! As you advance through the outskirt roads some settlements quite might give you a goa vibe!
After a self analysis of concentration on self at Matrimandir this serene beauty of nature also offers the pros training the surfing in the Bay.
Unfortunately the rains disturbed our trip but the disturbance wouldn't disturb anymore since the plan is to enjoy the nature and not what I wanted to.
Beautiful beach. We loved to take a bath on this beach. You can take beautiful pictures sitting on the rocks. It is good for spending some time rather than staying on the beach resorts because of the fishermen. The smell of fish is very prominent at the nearby places.
Wonderful beach. Not that rushed. Mostly clean. Worth a visit when you are in Pondy. There are a lot of opportunities for water sports nearby. You can even learn surfing and do scuba diving.
