Best mutton biryani I’ve ever came across...they’re spreading love by serving biryani’s in this pandemic is the most surprising...I’ve never tried this much soft, spicy, delicious and best biryani...biryani fulfilled my biryani’s cravings so perfectly i seriously can’t wait to visit this place again...biryani lover should atleast visit once for having best biryani here...i had sajuk tupatli mutton biryani... the best thing is they serve gravy with it which gives biryani a perfect combination of tastes...♥️

I am a biryani monster just like kavu and i am thankful to God that sp biryani exists the one of the most authentic nonveg dum biryani and more then that you people will enjoy the smell of biryani's spices and the dum they use of coal this what makes it special like you will just not be able to control yourself after that alluring smell + it is served with my favorite solkadi drink I pity on you if you live in Pune and still haven't been able to visit such a tempting place like sp biryani house

SP Biryani, probably gets its name from being in close proximity to SP college perhaps, but what I am certian of is this amazing Biryani house will offer you the very best Pune has to offer!
What started with humble beginnings, is now a multi storey restaurant, and trust me people come from far and wide to lick the Biryani masala off their fingers! And juat like them, we found ourslves in this high class, air-conditioned hotel orderding their CHICKEN BIRYANI!
I'll let you on a little secret, I and my friend who visited this lovely establishment, were on a tiggt budget so we had to share a single biryani amongst ourselves, but trust me guys, I never thought I'd say this, but I would have the whole big bowl of spicy and tasty biryani all by myself, it was that good! And I am by far the least 'rice-person' you will ever find, and still I throughly enjoyed and loved their Biryani!
There is no shred of a doubt in my mind that you should visit this place not only for their very famous and varied types of Biryani, that too in typical Maharashtrian style but for their warm hospitality too.
Also, after the meal, the mouth freshner or mukhwas that they provide, that too is super minty and truly refreshing!!
Can't wait to visit this place again!!

An absolute gem, if you're a mutton lover! A must visit place in Pune. They are known for their special mutton dum Biryani and it's delicious! Also try mutton fry and prawns koliwada.

Let's get into a deep dive
Ambiance : Ambiance is more to cater the more customer as possible.. So it is more of a congested sitting place.. What I feel. Having a huge family together at one time is bit of issue.. But as I said earlier it is highly crowded most of time.. So it make sense to accomplish more and more people at time..
Service : Again it is more towards getting more and more people served as early as possible.. But waiters cum captain are well know to menu.. They will help you out about menu.. One issue with parking service is that they have car parking at different area than their restaurant.. So you have to handover the 🚘 car to their drivers.. However my issue is that they charge you for parking Rs. 50 for your car.. Not sure why first time i have seen a restaurant is charging for car parking.. Even after the one single biryani is costing rs. 500. I do not like it. So one ⭐ less for that.
Food : Main thing food 🍲 , Most people come over here for their biryani.. So here is my review..
Sajuk tupatli chicken biryani : very very mild.. Good amount of ghee and bit of blend taste.. But my kido like it that way.. And i am ok to try new stuff. Give a try if you are person who do not like even mild spicy 🌶..
Sp Mutton dum biryani : very high on spicy mutton is smooth & tender.. (It's sheep 🐑 mutton ) . If you like very spicy biryani then give a try.
Chicken lollypop very good liked 👍. The chutney was a bit different than the normal schezwan chutney..
Veg 🥦🥕🌽 green peas masala : very bad.. Too much oil and too much synthetic color.
For all veg person, please do not even try to eat.. This restaurant is mainly for non veg lovers only..
Overall give a try if you are Non veg person..

I recently revisited SP's Biryani House after a considerable hiatus, and my timing couldn't have been more perfect—the Biryani Festival was in full swing.
The Chicken Biryani at SP's continues to be a masterpiece of flavors and aromas. Visit only for biryani. Do not waste money on anyone fried food item, tried lollipops as well and they were juicy and quantity was also good but they definitely not taste well at all.
Chinese stall chicken lollipops taste far better than this ones.

Only issue with parking.
Tried kolambi fry and quantity was not justifying cost 550/- rupees. Taste was okay wish they added more flavours to it. And they served coconut chutney it was okay in taste nothing special, they should served pudina and green chill chutney with then it'll definitely taste good.
Tried aamir Khan special dum mutton biryani and it was good but i feel like white rice was served in it way to less as compared to biryani masala in it. At last had to eat only masala ☹
This is the best place for biryani lovers. Good ambience and good taste, the quantity is too much for a single person. Go empty stomach if you want to finish the entire plate. The cost is comparatively higher than other briyani hotels. But looking for a good ambience and taste this is worth it. The only bad thing is that they serve daal with veg biryani. I guess there should be veg curry served with veg biryani. Overall 4 stars.

SP biryani, Naam to Suna Hi Hoga… as it’s been 28 years. It has won the hearts of many Punekars.! And the reason being biryani ; Punekars has a separate soft corner for biryani, and their Biryani places and I found that the SP Biriyani is itself a craze As the day I went was a weekday and a afternoon time, and all three floors were fully packed with customers, and that was something crazy saw.! There were just biryani, biryani and biryani All Over on every table.! They have multiple options in biryani and also have other food options to go for…! the food quality and quantity compare to price is pretty good .! I do recommend this place for biryani lovers
The taste of the food follows their reputation. Very amazing, lip smacking food. They have a large menu, and it can be confusing if you are not sure of what you want to eat. Personal recommendations from the staff is available. We did order the Chicken specialty along with the Chicken dum biryani and both the dishes were really really awesome. The service is very helpful and attentive. Would love to come back again.
