It's my fav place in shimla just because they serve the best north indian food.
Had chicken clear soup, veg seekh kebab, dal makhani, butter chicken, shahi paneer and chicken tikka masala. Though butter chicken is not like how it is served in Delhi i.e. bit creamy and sugary but it was nice. Chicken tikka masala tasted awesome. So did Shahi paneer and everybody's fav Dal Makhani.
Service was good as well. Recommended !!
So this place serves authentic north Indian food in shimla. The portions are large and nonveg pieces are big so they provide good quantity at a reasonable price.

First off, the chicken momos were not upto my standard of recent experiences. It had an artificial taste and it they were quite dry. Also, the momo skin was quite thick and there was not much filling.
However the Chicken Hot and Sour soup was decent apart from the excess in garlic but overall it was a good soup.
The chicken and sweet corn soup had a good aroma and tasted good. A very decent soup with a lot of chicken and soup within the bowl. A filling meal definitely
The Chicken Tandoori was very appealing and tasted great, a good 4.6/5. Really juicy on the inside, and well seasoned on the outside. Good aroma and it complimented the onions well. (Uno we have to do the ramsay ting ugm 😤)
This is one of the most famous restaurants located at the Mall Road, Shimla and they serve really good food, just to put it in a very simple and straight-forward way. I was in Shimla for 2 - 3 days and every single day I went there for my lunch & breakfast. During the day, the view from their top most floor is amazing. You can enjoy the food with the view. :)
I tried their butter chicken, tandoori chicken, masala chicken and quite a few other dishes and totally loved everything that I had. I think I will surely go back there whenever I will be in Shimla again. 💕
Recently i was in Shimla and i had a craving for a North Indian Meal so i decided to visit Sher-e-Punjab. Unfortunately, the North Indian food wasn't available at that time because of a strike.
I ordered Chicken Momos and a Coffee. The chicken momos were one of the best i have had in my life. The chicken was full of spices and flavours. It was lip smacking. The chilli chutney accompanied the momos well. We ended up ordering two plates of the same. The coffee was average.
The sunset is visible from the window of the place making it a wonderful place to sit and eat watching the sunset.
The staff is friendly and polite. The prices are pocket friendly too.
The most famous place in summer hill near the mall road. Its a all day casual dining restaurant in mall road area. We reached bit early so we had to wait for some time to get our food.
What we ordered -
1) Dal tadka
2) Steamed Rice
3) gobhi aloo masala
4) Kadhai Paneer
5) Lachha paratha
All were good in taste. Service was also good, but one thing they have to Maintain is cleanliness of the place.

Only certain snacks like Momos and Hotdogs are available till 1PM. Tea and Coffee are available throughout the day. Momos were Ok. Hotdogs were fresh and juicy. Tea and coffee were both good. Prices are on higher side. There is a small and old seating area after the entrance which then opens up to a larger section on right with additional floor above it.
Basic place and food , the one who are pure vegetarian and do not even like the smell of non veg please avoid sitting and eating there rather get the food packed .
We had dal fry ( yellow) and roti and it tasted okay
So we went on family trip at shimla on 21 june 2023. In the evening we went to see mall road we all were hungry at there nd we saw sher e punjab there being punjabi we beleive that punjabi’s know better taste of food. And i must say that we do not regret on our decision best food as we order butter chicken dal makhni and panner burji with curd and salad . Quantity was super taste was brilliant. I highly recommend this restaurant . Must visit them if u go mall road . Back to hotel we also ordered more food for dinner and get back that to our hotel ❤️
My experience was stellar in Sher E Punjab, The food was just scrumptious and butter chicken was absolutely drool worthy! ✨ Must compliment the prompt service , and The staff was gentle & generous. I had the most amazing time and the most amazing food there. The Gulab Jamun was star of the show. It was all worth it, Kudos to the team! Great work.
Food is quiet okay. Must try is the butter chicken. The boneless ones is better. The laccha parathas are very big. One is enough for one person if you are not really really hungry (according to me) the tea is good too.
Hotel is quite old and the interiors haven't changed in forever, which gives you very rustic vibes. Reminded us of the good old days

One of the best tandoori in Shimla. Amazing punjabi food. There's both veg and non veg dishes. We also tried their virgin mojito which paired well with the tandoori chicken!
Always coming back to this place! Hands down for great food. But it's mostly crowded so be prepared to wait a while for tables.
