Palki Khana is the restaurant located in proximity to the main entrance of City palace. It has got both indoor and outdoor sitting. Staffs are courteous and well trained to serve world class taste to world class customer. You will see foreign crowd with deep pockets having fun here most of the time. Pasta is good here and of course beer and wine. Being a whole hearten Indian and knowing the actual price of Beer and Wine here, I was a bit terrified by their price. However view of city palace and style of cafe kept me calm.
A group of 18 of us, which included 3 small kids, came to “Palki khana” at lunch time, after what was an exhausting day of site seeing, especially for the by-now super hungry kids.
Ordered chicken biryani, margarita pizza and a few sandwiches, with very low expectations.
The experience was delightful to say the least because of the following,
1) Excellent biryani. Have eaten in several places across the country and five star hotels, and this biryani compared with the best. Flavourful, mildly spicy, and succulent pieces of chicken.
2) the pizzas and sandwiches were world class too.
3) extremely quick and courteous service.
It might feel a little pricy, but for such world class food and service the price seems right.

We ordered pasta (Rocco) and palki Khana favourite, the pasta was really delicious and palki Khana favourite was also nice. The rates are a bit high , but worth the place and food. Gives you a nice chill ambience.
With a typical desi name and an attractive location, Palki Khana is the restaurant located in proximity to the main entrance of City palace. Even though located in the palace itself, it had modern bistro cafe feels with options for both indoor and outdoor seating. Having experienced food with a little over the top spices during our stay we preferred ordering both red and white sauce pasta with kesar badam milk, cafe frappe and chocolate fantasy as drinks. The highpoint was the presentation of the order and the taste. The white sauce pasta was sufficiently cheesy and the red sauce pasta was tangy enough with garlic breads being crisp and perfectly toasted. The drinks were droolworthy with an amazing blend of coffee with chocolate. Though the rates of cafe are on the expensive side but this place is a must visit to refresh your taste with some amazing food and drinks after a tiring tour of the palace.
This place has a nice ambiance and a modern bistro cafe feel to it as it’s situated inside city palace. The prices are a bit high but certainly the food was delicious and makes up to the expense they charge. Their Pizza’s are Must Try and chicken on the pizza was so so succulent. Also, I loved pasta along with chicken wings. Their biryani was delicious with lots of aroma and flavours bursting in mouth. Pesto sandwich was light and good. Staff was courteous. Overall worth eating over this joint.
Palki Khana Cafe located at the City palace in city of lakes udaipur, gives you a good feeling of having food in the premises of a palace where maharanas used to live, prices were slightly above reasonable but worthy as food was very nice and up to the mark, as it’s supposed to be, had a beer after visiting the entire city palace very refreshing and relaxing with that chicken burger juicy patty quite a tasteful, mediterranean veg pizza with feta cheese accompanied by zingy guava and strawberry cooler very very refreshing all were a must try
I recently visited The City Palace, Udaipur and this place is right inside the palace with good view. We tried the seafood pizza and Apple of my eye mocktail which contained Apple and blueberry shake with whipped cream and I must say both were delightful to my taste. I felt the restaurant is a bit overpriced but with that view and great taste it is worth a visit

This place has the most appropriate location in all of the town since not everybody can afford to build one right inside the most famous Tourist spot of the City Palace. This obviously helps their business.
The decor here is very upscale and they are wuite famous for their 24 Carat Pizza whuch costs Rs.10000 and 24 Carat Pizza which costs Rs.2000. They arw definitely worth a try not only for the taste but the uniqueness of the dish.
We were already tired from the tour of the Musuem and quite hungry so ordered the Mutton Keema Pav with beer and fresh lime water.
The Keema was succulent unlike I have ever tried which is generally dry and overly loaded with spices. The bread was fluffy, fresh and nicely toasted. The beer was chilled although they need to serve right glasses considering the drink ordered. I ordered a pint of the local variety but the glass was your regular tall glass making the beer consumption difficult since it warmed up quite fast.
Their menu is varied and offers something for everything. The weather was sunny and humid and hence we chose to sit inside which was air conditioned and less noisy. On a good weather day with less tourists around, book a table outside.
As its monsoon was looking for a place with a nice view! Then after searching for many places came across palki khana so decided to go here.
We ordered the following:-
Veg pizza
Veg quesadilla
Nachos
All were so good in taste. It's known for its Italian food! Totally loved the food, ambience, hospitality, staff, view.
Definitely recommended if you like heritage views!
Great place to chill at, on a hot afternoon, after visiting the palace museum.. The mascarpone cheese carrot cake is delectable and the sweet lime lemonade was a much needed refresher.
Obviously, the restaurant is little expensive because its in the palace grounds...
Chole kulcha, hot dog was good. mutton keema paratha and pizza was ok. The restaurant is inside the palace complex and good option to go for any meal. Excellent coffee and other beverages.
It was also a most beautiful memories for food at City palace, taste was fabulous which I always remember.
Presentation was fantastic and most beautiful thing is location o the restorant was mind-blowing.
Good food, exclusive drink and amazing atmosphere .
