The ambience is very nice...The only issue is that it is a little cramped for space & the washroom(for Gents) is an issue as well!But people may wonder why i am still rating it as a 5 star!
The reason is simple: FOOD!I have tried the fish fingers,Dry chilly chicken, Smoked Pork(The star of the show) & Its Non veg Hakka Noodles(both chicken and pork).Each of these tasted really well.The waiters are very professional and know their job well.And if you are a foodie (which i bet you are as you are going through the reviews to pick a food joint!) this is a must try.The price is little on the higher side.But they dont compromise on the quality of food.
Hands down One of the best cafes' i have visited anywhere in India, in terms of food, service, ambience, music et all.. Had a great experince with friends. And since i am not from guwahati, but i would love to visit this place again whenever i am in the city. Music was subtle and good to the ears. The cherry-cheese-pineapple was the star of the dishes we ordered, the pork with bamboo shoot was amazing as well. Keep it up guys, cheers!
It's a nice place to hangout. Late night concerts are really nice. I was lucky to attend one of the shows. Food served was awesome. People are nice
Overall it's good but the items are too costly. One Corona which cost RS 200 in a wine shop there it cost Rs400 or 420 which is double the price. That's not good.

This is the only place in Guwahati which have never lost its sheen though the entire Guwahati has changed around it. It is an epitome of how a joint/cafe can camouflage without changing the basic structure/theme while the city undergoes thru the different stages of development.
Every Guwahatian like me feels nostalgic whenever he/she visits Cafe Hendrix because of the numerous memorable stories attached to it. Be it the school/college/tution bunks. (I guess you got the context)
Many of us like me must have broken their Alcohol Virginity here.
Their Music, Life Performance, Food (especially Pork), Beer are the inseparable string attached to Cafe Hendrix.

Having read rave reviews, visited the cafe during my recent visit to Guwahati. I am surely going here next time. Good food, good music, nice ambience, courteous staff. Loved the complementary sprout salad. We ordered fish fingers, which turned out to be yum. The place is worth every penny.
However, we had a bit difficulty finding the place, even while standing bang opposite Pantaloons. They can have a larger sign-board on the main street.
Three floors and each has ita own ambience. Although the most preferred is the top floor. Apart from good food the place has good music, projector tv show and all you want to have for a good meal. Lunch is preferred for meals, while night is crowded
I have been there twice and it was recommended by a colleague and a friend as well. I was not dissapointed being there. Enjoyed live music with beer. Only issue I have was that most of the beers given in the menu are not available and the price is in higher side. #cafehendrix

One of the oldest cafes in town. The best place to spend weekends on. I visited on a Sunday with my friends. The gig takes place on the top floor and they have a great lineup. The staff and everyone are friendly. Food is good. We ordered a dragon mushroom and a pork dry fry. For beverages we ordered Simba beers, one if 6 was 9 and an Italian smooch. It tasted decent.
