This place has been my all time favourite. It has a wide varities of Indian sweets with reasonable price and they taste very good. It also serves chaats and fast food. All food are totally hygienic and all items are vegetarian.
In the morning they serve puri and sabji, and thats one of my favourite. Another favourite of mine is their jalebis. They are totally yum.
I am in love with govindam, the food, the sweets are really soft and scrumptious, specially the gulabjamun. Govindam is a perfect place for desserts and your sweet cravings ❤

Oldest sweet shop in guwahati.....I ordered plain dosa,masala dosa,aloo tikki chat,tea....chat was awesome and masala dosa was superb....but i didn't plain dosa....overall nice experience....i will visit again
The plain dosa and jalebi here is absolutely yummy. I had ordered online. The packaging was also good. Overall I'm very happy with the food, taste and portion wise. Will definitely order again, hot yummy jalebi.

Well govindam is known for its sweets, but I don't eat sweets so my priorities are shakes sandwiches and chats always. Whenever I go home, never forget to collect dry fruits barfi or pure ghee wala sweets from govindam for my mom which are her absolute favorite.
Govindam is very far away from my place but I never miss out a chance to have a chaat or puchka or sweets there. Its a very friendly place with a very reasonable price. But I would say please get a parking space for yourself because its always full.
It's situated in the heart of the city that is in the Six mile area. It's one of the famous sweet shops in Guwahati. Their are various types of sweets🍧 available for example Rasmalai, Rosogolla, Gulab Jamun, Rabri, Kaju Katli and also a range of snacks are available like Samosa, Paav Bhaji, Kachori, Papri chaat, Dahi Vada etc. The quality is good but the price is high compared to the quality because of it's old reputation. Good place to have a bite but not that good for gifting as you can have better quality with the same price.
One of the best places in Guwahati if you are craving authentic chaats. I tried Raj Kachori on my last visit to the place.

I was just tempted when I show making there staff dosa … it was looking great and ordered for it … and I was happy that it’s even yummy… having such dosa in Assam was really a great thing there sambhar was ok but coconut Chutney was really great … then as always I had rasamalai ; rasagula chana Batuta ; all of them where very good …

It was tasty and the prices were nominal.
Papri chat is of 100/- and samosa chat is of 80/-
One of the best places for sweets in Guwahati, if you are in Dispute Sixmile area. Also their chats, Puri, chole bhature, pav bhaji are of good taste and quality. Juices are also available. Recommended.

I visited this place to buy some sweets for home.
The place is located in GS road opposite Pantaloons.
The quality of the sweet purchased was good.
Apart from sweets you get idli dosa and chaats and panipuri fruit juice over there.
It was a bit crowded and bit expensive but the quality of the food compensated for the price.
The staffs were experienced and good.

One of the best for sweets and Fast Food (, Specially North Indian and South Indian) with Fresh Juice and Ice cream availability too. Although they cut the pockets deeper but the taste is worth it. Usually there is crowd here but eating area is ample. It is located on G S Road opposite to Downtown Hospital.
Govindam, a very famous name for every Guwahatians. All kinds of foods from sweets, fast foods, South Indian foods to mouth watering 😋 chats available.
Yes the items are very tasty 😋 😍 😀 but the price of some items are in higher side. We tried the roasted rasgulla(₹40/-), 🤪 a unique and best 👌 item of the Govindam, will give ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for this. -⭐ for the price only. Still if one is looking for quality food then this is the place. Go for it.
