Wonderful host and wonderful place!!
I was attracted by the name of this place "Grandma's Kitchen".
Visited this place for lunch and ordered some food.
The restaurant serves authentic Gujarathi food. (Pure Veg)
The food was very tasty.
In the process i also spoke to the owner, MR. Manish Parekh, who is a wonderful person and a good cook.
He gave me suggestions about covering the nearby places too.
Overall the experience was wonderful.
An awesome place to have in Fort Kochi, the only Vegetarian restaurant. You get various North and South Indian dishes.
Awesome place for vegetarians, friendly staff, nice food with balanced costing,
Definitely recommended for people who are searching veg dishes around here,
I was searching for a 100% veg hotel/ restaurant when I walked past the owner Manish invited me in for a chai then I decided to eat after looking at the menu ...I had a great evening and meet some nice people there ....I definitely will be back it's a friendly place with good food
If you are here in the fort Kochi do try this place it’s very very good for Gujarati thali.Dont miss it !
if u like north indian food, here you get a lovely northern thali. passionate owner and chef that is preparing the food with lot of love and care. friendly staff, small and cozy place, moderate pricing. a very good alternative to the touristic overflown places in the main roads. inside and outside seating space, perfect for a quiet evening. would go there again.
Excellent food and service, love love love this place. The gentleman who owns it is incredibly helpful and also funny, he made us feel like family. Lots of locals eating here which is always a good sign. If vegetarian food was like this in the UK I'd be veggie! We had starter and big thali to share and drinks for £3.60! Will be going back. THANKS
Best in taste with home made style in the cheapest price. Staff are very polite and humble. Strongly recommended for breakfast, lunch, dinner. Manish uncle (owner) is so decent and takes care of everything that satisfies your taste and pocket. Veg only. Yummy & delicious.
Awesome traditional food that too pure vegetarian. We loved the taste. Friendly staff. The owner is from Guj he has learnt the recipes from his grandmother hence the name. He had different spice masala to make and the deserts were of Gujarat special made. Loved this place should visit. The hospitality showed was great!!!!
We are from the UK, we found this by accident and went in as it looked nice and we are vegetarians. We had the veg thali, it was delicious, we went back the next day and had special veg thali which is served at the weekends. It was all delicious, but my very favourite part was a green kind of mousse made of coriander and coconut eaten with yellow cake made of chickpea flour- heavenly, I won't forget it. Lovely staff, lovely service. The owner chattted to us and even popped out to get me some medicine as I was suffering from a cold. That and the excellent food soon made me feel better. Later I found a note I had forgotten about, that an Indian man from Delhi had written me, it said best place to go for breakfast in Fort Kochi: Grandma's Kitchen! We didn't get there for breakfast as our homestay served us breakfast, but I hear the masala dosas are excellent!
