A typical kerela style chain of restaurants is ambiswamy's.
A non AC food court with a prepaid service at the counter.
They welcome you with a warm , kokum water .
I tried
Puttu - Grinded mixture of rice and coconut
Green peas masala - a semi gravy green peas sabzi to have with puttu
Masala dosa - usual masala dosa. Nothing special nothing bad
Onion uttapam - quiet extra large in size. Good quantity of onions sprinkled over.
Overall - 4/5
Service - 3/5
Worth. Of money - 5/5
We went there for a lunch while we were in the City looking for some good veg meals... The place is not the authentic ambiswamy's which you will find in Thrissur... Nevertheless, we found the place to be really good and the food was tasty
I went to their pallimukku outlet which is near to medical trust hospital. I tried their veg meal, porotta, paneer butter masala. Chilli paneer, dosa. Veg meal has so many dishes, good quality with prompt service. Paneer butter masala is sufficient for one person and it tastes actually like a northie restaurant. I didn't like the chilli paneer though. Overall nice experience. Will be visiting again!
It's an ideal place for lunch for vegetarians. The quality of food is really appreciable, the service is courteous, quick service available.
Chapathi with Kurma and Mint Lime has been my favourite combo for lunch.
During my last trip to Kerala in mid-August, I visited Ambiswamy's vegetarian restaurant at least 4-5 times. The breakfast – Ghee Roast, Rice Idlies, Puttu and Kadala, Thattu Dosa – was always good. I particularly liked the brown chutney which they served with dosa and idly.
I also tried their chapathi and vegetable korma, biryani and sweet seera.
A pocket-friendly place for vegetarians!
expected a little onion salad with chapati set
A very good order and eat restaurant. Variety of South Indian tiffin items on the menu, both tamil and kerala cuisine. Utilitarian ambience and clean. Open kitchen and courteous staff. Unlimited refill of chutneys.
had masala dosa...ghee roast from here it's tastes good...and service is perfect and prices also affordable...nice to have a lunch from this restaurant
Located near at Medical Trust Hospital, Pallimukku, Kochi, Ernakulam.
Had traditional Veg Meals and Masala Dosa in Lunch. Taste was good 👍. Excellent vibes and neat & Clean restaurant. Enjoyed the traditional Kerala Veg Meals.
First time I had The pineapple 🍍 sabzi and reddish kind of rice and it was really tasty.
💯 Recommended.
Spacious and beautiful ambiance near the heart of the city’pallimukku’. From breakfast to dinner, they serve delicious vegetarian dishes, mostly of local Kerala cuisine, at reasonable price. Service is prompt.

A good vegetarian hotel in city. Tried podi (dry chauteny powder) masala dosa & tea. A Kannadiga style masala dosa with dry chatuney powder sprinkled inside dosa. Enough seating available & parking is limited. Prepayment service, so you have to decide the dishes before getting to table, however add on orders are taken care of by bearers. Recommend vegetarian options.
One of the finest veg restaurants over the city in MG road. The food you receive over here is of top quality. The restaurant have a wide range of breakfast menu, including pongal, which is rare to find in kerala veg restaurants. The food quantity wise is less when comparing other restaurants, but food is really tasty. Serves all food hot. Overall neatness of the restaurant is of high standards. Especially the restrooms are kept very neat and tidy. Overall a very clean and tidy open restaurant. The restaurant also got parking in front for both 4 wheelers and 2 wheelers. The restaurant has kept a small banana garden amoung other plants on the short connection way from restaurant to restroom, which is really a very rare scenery to find in cities. Hatsoff to this good initiative and your tribute towards showcasing our tradition and a dying culture.
The food was very tasty and at a very affordable price. We had a buffet lunch there which was extremely good and the service was very good. Recommend.
Hate the fact that you've to pay and share a token before you eat but the food and ambience is so exquisite that I visit here whenever I'm in Ravipuram.
Dosa, Coffee, poori and vada are the best
Vegetarian restaurant with spacious dining area and delicious vegetarian food.
Parking available for 3-4 cars, security assistance is there for parking support.
Toilets and washrooms are also available.
Ghee roast is my favourite amongst their menu.
Had Ghee Roast, Onion Uttapam, Banana Uttappam and Tomato Rice.
Ghee roast was really good. Loved it.
Both Uttapams were average. Nothing great about them. Found little uncooked from inside.
Tamato Rice was fantastic and super tasty. It was just super in taste. A must try dish in Ambiswamy.
Coconut Chutneys served with all items were stale and smelly. Management should taste the chutneys before serving.
Keeping 2 stars with me for Uttapam and Chutney.
