Have heard a lot about the legendary chilly beef aka bdf available here and decided to try it out. I was not at all disappointed. Finally found a place where they serve bdf upto the expectation levels. The porotta available here is equivalent to 2 normal porotta.
If anyone want to go to a budget friendly restaurant in Kochi, this is the place.

the only place in ekm 2 get de best briyani better and most hotels in ekm (kayees)and best know for its nite food beef dry fry and poratha and also beef roast and fried rice and ambiance of the place is good and the service r good good 4 family and kids

A budget restaurant in Kochi. I have been here once. The BDF here is a must try. Very crispy one and I liked it. Recommended this place for those who looking budget options.

Authentic Malabari Taste! Prompt Service!Perfectly spiced dishes! Warm Ambience! Economical rates! What else to ask for?! Be it the typical Kerala Meals(Always opt for rice with Meen Charu- Fish Curry) with a fried fish ( Ayla ) for lunch or Roast Chicken with Kerala Parotta...this place serves everything mouthwatering!!!
P.S Chicken Biryani, Chicken Roast and Kerala Parotta are my personal favourites.
Always on our itinerary whenever we visit Kerala!♥

I had dinner from this restaurant. I ordered Beef Biryani. The taste was okay but felt like the quantity of the meat and the masala is very less compared to the other restaurants. The restaurant is good for a quick bite.i would recommend a makeover for this restaurant. Overall a good restaurant with potential for improvement.

The place is easily accessible from the main road. It boasts a rich history (est: 1952). But the restaurant could do an good makeover to be at par with the current day and age. The food was surprisingly delicious. Had a beef kothu porotta. The beef was well cooked and soft and the porotta fresh, with generous proportion of egg too. The price is quite a bargain as well. But the place was a bit empty when i visited. I guess they can vamp up their reach and sales with a makeover and relaunch, coz they really do have the potential to be a real resto cafe(far better one at it than all the fake ones popping up these days of course). But if they decide just to bask in their glory days then their future situation will be like the present condition of Colombo (pun intended 😂).

One of my favorite biriyani spot in the city. They also serve a black tea with the biriyani. Appam and beef roast are also tasty. It is one of the oldest hotel in the city.
