One of the oldest chinese restaurants it is.We tried China town special fried rice and gravy noodles, and it was awesome, especially the gravy noodles. Chili pork was also a tasty one,you can try this. The quantity and quality is too good and the price is very reasonable. The uncle who runs this restaurant is very humble and polite. Overall it was a very great experience.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the exquisite Chinese restaurant, and I must say, it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. From the moment I stepped inside, I was captivated by the elegant ambiance, warm hospitality, and enticing aromas wafting through the air. The menu was an extensive showcase of authentic Chinese cuisine, featuring a delightful array of dishes from various regions of China. The vast selection left me spoiled for choice, but the attentive staff was more than happy to guide me through the culinary journey. To begin my adventure, I opted for the traditional hot and sour soup, which perfectly balanced tanginess and spiciness. The rich flavors and the freshness of the ingredients instantly transported me to the streets of Beijing. The attention to detail in presentation was evident, as each dish was meticulously crafted and served with elegance. For the main course, I decided to explore the Sichuan region's fiery flavors. The mapo tofu dish was a revelation, with its silky tofu enveloped in a mouthwatering blend of spicy and numbing Sichuan peppercorns. The Kung Pao chicken, with its tender chunks of chicken, crunchy peanuts, and the subtle hint of sweetness, was another delightful dish that kept my taste buds dancing. The highlight of the evening was the Peking duck, a dish renowned for its meticulous preparation and succulent taste. The crispy, lacquered skin crackled as I took my first bite, revealing succulent and flavorful meat within. The accompanying steamed pancakes, scallions, and hoisin sauce allowed me to create the perfect duck wrap, a symphony of textures and flavors. To complete this unforgettable feast, I indulged in a selection of delicate Chinese desserts. The silky mango pudding and the fragrant osmanthus jelly were delightful treats that provided a sweet and refreshing ending to the meal. Throughout the evening, the staff displayed exceptional professionalism and knowledge, ensuring that every aspect of my dining experience was flawless. Their genuine passion for Chinese cuisine was evident in their enthusiastic explanations and willingness to cater to my preferences. This restaurant is a haven for food lovers, where traditional Chinese cuisine is celebrated and elevated to new heights. The impeccable service, the meticulous attention to flavors, and the commitment to authenticity make it a culinary gem worth visiting time and time again. I wholeheartedly recommend this Chinese restaurant to anyone seeking an extraordinary dining experience. Prepare to embark on a gastronomic journey that will leave you enchanted, with memories and flavors that will linger long after your visit.

One of the Oldest Chinese restaurants in KOLKATA at the moment. Serves delicious food. Fast service. Retro style sitting. Can hold about 20 guests at one time. The quantity and quality of food was abaove par. Chilli pork was amazing. Both Chinatown special Meifoon and Rice were also good. Garlic chicken could have been better but it wasn’t bad. Overall a great experience. Love to visit again. Special Mention- Online Payments of any kind are not accepted. Card Payment is also not accepted. Cash is the Preferred method of payment.

This seems to be one of the oldest restaurants amidst the busy area of New Market. The whole Infrastructure of the restaurant is of the olden days and it seems u have gone back 20 or 30 years. The owner of the restaurant is an old man, who I think cooks and also serves the food..( his wife might be helping him too) Not crowded so u can have your food in peace. They don't take card or online payment only CASH.

Title: An Exquisite Vegetarian-Friendly Experience with Irresistible Chilli Pork! Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently had the pleasure of dining at this Chinese restaurant, and despite trying only two dishes—a vegetarian fried rice and chilli pork—it left a lasting impression. Here's why I give it a well-deserved five-star review: Flavors that Delight: The vegetarian fried rice was a symphony of flavors, bursting with freshness and perfectly cooked vegetables. Each bite was a delightful medley of textures, complemented by the subtle blend of spices that elevated the dish. It was evident that the chef had a deep understanding of vegetarian cuisine, as the dish was both satisfying and flavorful. Unforgettable Chilli Pork: The chilli pork dish was an absolute showstopper! The succulent pieces of pork were cooked to perfection, tender and juicy with just the right amount of heat. The flavors were well-balanced, allowing the natural sweetness of the pork to shine through. It was a harmonious blend of spices, herbs, and a hint of tanginess that created a truly unforgettable experience. Even as a vegetarian, I couldn't resist taking a small taste, and I must say it was truly exceptional. Quality and Freshness: Both dishes showcased the restaurant's commitment to using high-quality and fresh ingredients. The vegetables in the fried rice were crisp and vibrant, enhancing the overall taste and texture. The pork in the chilli pork dish was of excellent quality, contributing to its outstanding flavor and tenderness. It was evident that the restaurant takes pride in sourcing top-notch ingredients. Attentive Service: The service at this restaurant was impeccable. The staff member was friendly, welcoming, and attentive to our needs. They ensured that we were comfortable throughout our meal and provided prompt and efficient service. Their knowledge of the menu and willingness to accommodate our preferences, even with limited choices, added an extra touch of personalization to the dining experience. Warm and Inviting Ambience: The restaurant had a warm and inviting atmosphere, with its tasteful Chinese-inspired decor and comfortable seating. The dim lighting created a cozy and intimate setting, perfect for a relaxing meal. The attention to detail in creating a pleasant ambience contributed to an enjoyable dining experience. Value for Money: Considering the quality of the food, the portion sizes, and the overall experience, the prices at this restaurant were reasonable. It was evident that the establishment aimed to provide excellent value for money, ensuring that customers could enjoy a satisfying meal without breaking the bank. Even though I only sampled two dishes, the vegetarian fried rice and the tantalizing chilli pork, I was thoroughly impressed by the flavors, quality, and overall dining experience at this Chinese restaurant. From the exceptional vegetarian options to the standout meat dishes, it caters to a diverse range of tastes. If you're a vegetarian or someone who appreciates authentic Chinese cuisine, I highly recommend trying their vegetarian fried rice and indulging in the incredible chilli pork. I am eager to return and explore more of their menu offerings in the near future.

One of the oldest and best Chinese in town. They serve Chinese cuisine at a very reasonable price and the quantity is more. Loved the food. It tastes amazing. The interior gives you a feeling of Japanese restaurants or eating house. I would highly recommend you to visit this place if you're at Esplanade. We had mixed fried rice and chilli chicken. Proper hygiene is maintained and the place is sanitized well.

Great food at reasonable prices. The ambience could improve and might not work for some, but worth trying if you're in the neighborhood and looking for some Tangra-style Chinese. I ordered the Mixed Fried Rice, Boneless Chilli Chicken, and Noodles (not pictured). All tasted good, with good portions for the price.
